CenterHotel Arnarhvoll

An average hotel with great staff. Nice enough, made all the better by helpful and engaged staff that seemed genuine in their customer service and customer enjoyment of not only our stay but our whole experience. The hotel itself is mid range stuff, good location to walk to the town centre, and the water edge. Breakfast is adequate and simple but really nothing special. Trip-tip go early as the buffet food is not covered and has no plastic screening. Parking is free but limited to four or five cars. Other than that you have to park and pay in the street during the day.

I stayed two nights with the hope of having a 4-star service to round off my 14-day stay in iceland, unfortunately the hotel structure is old, the double room on the 7th floor is small, the bathroom with tub is uncomfortable, the room it is not soundproofed you can hear the doors closing of the other guests. The only positive was the view of the restaurant on the top floor. Poor breakfast quality, broken toaster, not soft mini chrossan, overcooked hard-boiled eggs

2-night stay in July - our first 2 nights in Iceland. Rooms were small, but as advertised. The real draw here is the breakfast room with a stunning view of the water - just what you want on a vacation. Breakfast itself was ample with plenty of choices. We also enjoyed a soak in the "hot tub" and spent some time relaxing in the spa after running around Reykjavik after the day. It was lovely and beat expectations by a mile.
