The Agrilia is a boutique-style adults-only hotel in Laganas, Zante. Although Zante is the third largest of the Ionian Islands, it's only around 40km long and 20km wide so you can easily visit a lot of places on the island during your holiday. The hotel is in one of the more laid-back areas of this popular beach resort, set in mature gardens with a backdrop of mountains. You can order a drink from the poolside bar and find a spot to relax on the outdoor deck. Inside the hotel, there's a lobby with seating and Wi-Fi, and an à la carte restaurant offering Greek cuisine. The rooms are in typically Greek low-rise buildings, with pastel painted walls and red tiled roofs. The resort centre and sandy Laganas beach are both within walking distance. Alternatively, you can catch the shuttle bus service, which begins at Laganas Strip and ends at Laganas beach. If you want to see more of Zante, the hotel can arrange a hire car for you. Zante Town, the capital, is a short drive away from the hotel and has a range of shops, bars and restaurants. You can also catch a ferry from here to Kefalonia or mainland Greece.
Laganas beach is 2.2km from the hotel. It's a long sandy stretch of coast lined with bars and tavernas. You can take a boat trip to Marathonísi Island in Laganas Bay, known as 'Turtle Island'. It's home to loggerhead turtles and has sea caves you can explore. Zante Town is 6km from the hotel. Here there are plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. There's a ruined castle, a town beach and a harbour. Navagio or Shipwreck Beach in the north west is one of the world's most photographed beaches, and can only be reached by boat. You can also take a trip from Porto Vromi, 32km from Laganas.
The à la carte restaurant at The Agrilia is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering Greek cuisine. There's a bar by the swimming pool which is open until late. There's a supermarket 200m from the hotel and a choice of restaurants, cafés and bars in Laganas.
Life at The Agrilia centres around the outdoor swimming pool and decked areas. There's also a whirlpool where you can relax and enjoy the mountain views.
All the rooms have a balcony or terrace. There's high-speed Wi-Fi and a TV with a DVD player, as well as a mini fridge and a safe.

Really liked this small friendly hotel and would have rated even higher if hadn't been charged 7 euro per night for air conditioning
The rooms are spacious comfortable and spotlessly cleaned by excellent housekeeping staff
In fact, all the staff were very friendly and helpful
Probably because it is adults only,it was quiet and calm around the pool and other guests contributed to a lovely atmosphere
The location is a 10 minute walk to the edge of the infamous Laganas strip which was perfect for us
Having not visited Zante before we were unsure where to stay, and would now not go anywhere else! Everyone at the hotel was so friendly, it made being round the pool so enjoyable. Maria and Zois were faultless, attentive and always welcoming us with a smile. All the staff were friendly, and ensured our stay was as good as can be. It is the perfect size hotel, because it allows yo to get to know the other guests. The hotel was off the main strip, which suited our holiday as we could walk down when desired but not have to endure the noise when we didn't want to. 10/10 from us!
We visited Agrilia Hotel in June 2015 which we enjoyed so much that we decided to visit again last week . Once again we had a fabulous holiday .
The Hotel is small and located away from the busy Laganas beach area which is what we like. If you are looking for a totally relaxing holiday this is perfect
The owner George is very welcoming and always on hand if you need anything . All of the staff are so friendly and will do anything they can to help.
A special mention to the Barman Zois who was a true gentleman - always friendly and helpful.
The rooms are a good size with a small fridge and kettle . Rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard with clean towels .
Breakfast is self service with a great choice of hot and cold food
Poolside restaurant is lovely - we ate there several times and enjoyed every meal - although the choice was not as extensive as our last visit.
Pool and pool area are immaculate . We always managed to get a sunbed no matter what time we went to the pool
It is surrounded by ' farm' animals so iyou may be woken by the cockerels early on a morning but we did get used to it.
Fine to walk to Laganas beach during the day . If you like walking there are plenty of places to explore but I would recommend a taxi on an evening if you want to venture out .
We love this place as do many others . We will definately go back !
