Fanes Rhodes Island, 851 00, Greece.Day
We were eventually moved to another suite adjacent to reception. However by now this was just in time to go straight to bed.
Day 2:-We awoke to the sound of the daily dustbin lorry before 7am. What a five star treat.
Also we found a thick layer of dust covering everything-clear evidence the replacement room hadn’t been prepared.
After some discussion with the housekeeper we moved downstairs.
We also found out that their idea of a hard boiled egg was rather different to mine
Day 3:-There we found that the plumbing was in need of attention-the toilet refusing to flush, one sink was unable to stay full and the other sink simply wouldn’t drain and empty.
We had four visits from the plumber before everything was working properly.
Day 4:- There was a dead rat in our garden. The manager explained that they were simply protecting the site. However as we were adjacent to reception I pointed out that 100% of the staff had walked past it and left it for a customer to find. He couldn’t see my point that is all well and good to protect the property but surely, particularly with Covid-19, vigilance should be the key.
The suite above ours was host to a trio of Italian girls despite the housekeepers insistence that it was unoccupied.
Day 5:- silver paper foils were cascading down from the room above . I called the housekeeper because these were unusual being burnt on one side like drug foils. The housekeeper told that in her opinion it was simply silver foil & not drug paraphernalia. I pointed out that during the whole week at this place I had not even seen a piece of silver foil & was unconvinced.
Loved our trip there. Close to the airport. The place is really beautiful with an amazing view on the sunset.
Spent our evenings with the wonderful barmaids Costas and Maria, you definitely have to step by and say hi to them and go on with a drink, they’re the nicest and the best!! Really miss them.
One of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays I have ever had. The hotel was spacious and clean, the room was great, the staff were amazing, they worked so hard; were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We went all inclusive and the food was always excellent and varied. They had their own little private beach with warm, calm sea. I cannot fault the hotel or it's staff. Thank you for the most wonderful holiday.
