Upon arrival we were blown away with the grand entrance. We were upgraded to a bungalow with sharing pool, which was fab you opened your back doors on to a small terrace with sunbeds, umbrellas and the pool which was shared with about 15 other bungalows. This was great as didn't have to worry about reserving sunbeds or going back and forth to the room. The buffet was above average, nothing to complain about but nothing special. However the views when sitting outside were lovely. The snack bars were the BEST i have experienced on all inclusive, it was nice to sit down and be given a menu and our food brought to us, the food was delicious in them all! For breakfast we were eating in the Healthy corner and the patisserie was open until 0200 so was great for a sweet late night snack! The cocktails were one of the best I have experience on all inclusive also! Overall the hotel was just beautiful to walk around, clean and kept well, the staff were all polite and helpful. The only downside would be the system for pre-booking a la cartes for dinner, this was quite a faff! You can do it via the website after check in but they were pretty much full for the week, so we spoke to guest relations who managed to squeeze us in. The asian was the best i think! The entertainment was ok considering the current situation, usually a singer with a guitar. The main bar outside around the firepit was breath-taking at night with the glistening lights of the town in the distance! 100% will be coming back and recommending to friends.
We have previously stayed at the Rinela Beach and I have always wanted to stay at Blue Domes so I was thrilled that we had the opportunity to visit during half term. It really didn’t disappoint.
The resort is beautiful. So tastefully done and lots of attention to detail. The views are stunning and the whole place has a peaceful, spacious and luxurious feel.
We loved the fact that you never got bored, as there were so many different areas to go to as well as several dining options. Contrary to other reviews, we actually had no problems booking for each of the a la carte restaurants (although we did have to be flexible with times.) The a la carte brunch option was also a lovely touch.
Even though the hotel was very busy when we arrived, it didn’t feel it; sun beds were spread out and there were so many different different sections to the hotel grounds, it didn’t feel cramped or hectic at all. We never had a problem locating a spot to settle in, each day.
The hotel was closing, as we left so the availability of certain restaurants and food items was somewhat reduced during the last couple of days but that’s to be expected.
We would definitely recommend and would love to return one day- I’m missing it already!
Having all been in the position where summer holidays were cancelled due to covid, we took the chance to head to Kos with the knowledge that the island had a really good history in the infection rate and provision in place for travellers to be there safely. The Blue Domes came up as a last minute deal but whilst there are other reviews on here that are no so great; our experience was superb. Despite being the end of a season the staff still went that extra mile to make our holiday special. It is hard at the moment for staff to give that personal space, but still make you feel attended to. The Blue Domes team, across the board, got that right. On arrival we sailed straight through, allocated a Family Bungalow near the al a carte restaurants and were taken there in a buggy. Great room, lovely decor and fittings and the double bedroom made it possible for us to have a room and the boys to share another. We never felt cramped in with lots of sunbeds to occupy by the pool and by the sea. It is worth noting that the pools are salt water - this is for cleanliness and therapeutic reasons (so I was told) but it did come as a shock to the kids when they got in first time! After a while you get used to it but it is worth knowing. The kids pool at the complex is fresh water so for really little ones it shouldnt be a barrier to going. To minimise the queuing there were surplus numbers of staff and never had to wait long for a drink, food or help if needed. The one issue that we did encounter was booking into the a la carte restaurants (which is a theme here I know!) - all were full booked for the duration of our stay.....BUT.....after meeting with Guest relations and asking politely we were able to eat in the Greek, Italian and Mexican too. The trick seemingly was just to ask nicely - I know of others that didnt fare so well, but we were well looked after. The staff in the hotel were super polite, fun to be around and went that extra mile - especially Antonioeta (Main Bar), Nikola (Main Restaurant), Litska (a la carte) Lamprini (sushi bar) but there were so many other kind faces that made our stay extra special. Kos is a great island - hire a car, walk to Kardamena, see other bits of the island for sure....the Blue Domes is a great base to do it from, good value for money and an example of great Greek hospitality!
