Set in its own gardens, Anastasia Hotel offers simple rooms near Stalis, on Crete's north eastern coast. The hotel is a short walk from the white sands of Ikaros Beach. It's also steps from the centre of Stalis, with its old Venetian streets lined with bars, restaurants and traditional Greek tavernas. Renovated for summer 2018, the building has a stone coloured exterior with contrasting windows and a green wood canopy. The hotel's stone paved pool areas are dotted with trees and have views of the neighbouring hills. Rooms have white walls with light coloured floor tiles and wooden furniture plus French doors leading onto a balcony or terrace. The hotel has two main outdoor swimming pools, one of which has an integrated area for children. There's also a separate kids' pool. For some relaxing downtime, you can book a treatment at the spa (Apr-Oct), while children can have fun at the kids' club, which offers activities including clay modelling, treasure hunts and face painting. Younger guests can also spend time in the playground and games room. In the summer there's evening entertainment, which includes karaoke, bingo and the occasional Greek night. The hotel has a currency exchange and a shop for those last-minute essentials.
Anastasia Hotel is 650m from Ikaros Beach, which is known for its shallow waters. It's 1.2km from Stalis, where you can get the boat to Spinalonga Island, with its ancient castle and walking trails. You'll be 400m from the nearest supermarket. Further afield, the local water park and Crete Golf Club are both within driving distance. If you like shopping, you could take a day trip to Crete's capital city, Heraklion, which has plenty of boutiques, shopping centres and markets. While you're there, you could also wander amid the Cretan architecture or sit at a pavement cafÈ and watch the world go by.
Anastasia Hotel has a buffet restaurant that opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It offers Greek, Italian and English cuisine, including full English and continental breakfasts in the morning. The bar serves snacks, along with local beers and wines, cocktails, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
You can swim in the pool or simply stretch out in the shade with a drink. If you're feeling active, you can play football or basketball.
Rooms at the Anastasia Hotel have a fridge and dining area. They also come with air conditioning and a TV. Cots are available.

Another fantastic stay at the Anastasia, even with the current covid situation Micheal and the staff done an amazing job, plenty of hand sanitizer around the hotel and room cleaned daily. Honestly can’t fault this hotel at all food amazing ,staff amazing and never struggle to get a sunbed hopefully see yous again next year 😬
Spent the last week of August here in 2020. Booked pretty much last minute due to covid and based my choice partially on reviews but also destination. Travelled with jet2 with no problems. Late night arrival (well past dinner time) so did not expect the hotel to have dinner all plated up and kept warm for us on arrival, a lovely touch and a nice surprise. Room basic but spotless, with free air conditioning which worked well. No complaints with the food, always something different to choose from but also plenty of the basic foods which us brits like to stick to, and my 2 girls (10 and 14) never went hungry. Half board basis and only had lunch twice from the bar/restaurant, which also was quality, but not really needed as breakfast and dinner were enough. Made use of the happy hour and a half, buy 2 beers get one free amongst other offers. Really good alcohol free cocktails too. Entertainment was obviously tricky with covid but a brilliant quick change/magic/comedy act was excellent, and myself and my 2 girls hogged the karaoke with a little help from the manager and 1 other guy whose name escapes me (sry!). Pools kept clean and safe. Wanted a room for our last day which was sorted out for us for an extra charge. All staff, from the reception to waitresses all friendly and did a great job working to covid rules and exceptions. Lots of repeat visitors to this hotel and as first timers felt a little bit lost at times but after karaoke all was well! Would recommend to all.
We have been to Stalis over many years and stayed at the Ariadne Beach Hotel but unfortunately this hotel was not opening due to the covid virus. We were offered 3 alternative hotels to stay in and we chose the Anastasia. We made the right choice. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was large, basic but very clean and quiet at night. Towels and bedding changed each couple of days and free air conditioning a must at night and very welcome. The hotel had all covid protocol features in place with sanitisers every where safe distancing including sun bed locations and in the restaurant where you was served independently by the staff, no self service by holidaymakers allowed. The food was excellent with a good choice of continental and English breakfasts and a good choice for evening meal, and the portions were big unless you told them not so much. The bar area was very good and the drinks prices were very reasonable. There were 2 Happy Hours, 11-00 am to 12-30 and 4-00 to 5-30 with various offers. A large beer and large glass of wine 3 euro 60. There was entertainment provided at night at the hotel.
Michail and his staff went out of their way to make you welcome every minute every day and nothing was too much for them. Always happy and smiling. The hotel was kept neat and tidy and the pools checked at least 2 times for water sampling.
We felt really safe at the hotel and Stalis in total. Safer than the UK.
Our first time at the Anastasia and would have no hesitation in returning again in the near future.
To Michail, (owner), Yannis (best cocktail maker) Vangellis, Eva, Dimitris, the girls serving in the restaurant and the cleaners, Thank You for making our stay a really enjoyable one.
