I stayed here for 2 weeks and it was ideal. I used it as a base and it was fab. The room was spot on and other places I’ve stayed in could learn a thing or two.
I like the surroundings and the gardens are lovely. The pool looks lovely and I like the hammocks around the side. I didn’t use the pool but saw families using it even at this end of the season.
There was a room tax, however I’d previously read about this and knew it was a standard thing. There was no issue of overcharging. I was also asked about late check out when I arrived, again it wasn’t an issue and I said I’d think about it.
I had no intention of cooking but had I wanted to I could have. There was plenty of cutlery. There was a table top cooker and the fridge worked.
But there was no bottle opener important for me given that I discovered Greek cider. However when I asked I was given one instantly.
The room was clean, the cleaner was lovely and taught me a couple of Greek words. She was also forgiving when I said that the syrup/honey had leaked through my bag and on to the quilt. Other reviews have mentioned loo roll, I had plenty not a problem.
I’ve already stated I used it as a base and as such I didn’t eat here and can’t comment on the food. It was handy for town, easy enough to walk to but far enough away from the noise in full season.
As I was leaving, the last of us were given snickers bars which was nice of them This seems to be a pattern and whether a pattern or coincidence it was still good of them.
I’ve seen the previous reviews and they don’t seem to match up with the place I stayed at. I paid very little but it delivered everything I wanted. What more could I want?
Fingers crossed that Real Palace can relax before doing it all again next year.
Mr.Soultan is very nice and helpful.I really like the room and my dinner is great!!Start from the Welcome Tea which is fantastic and all staff is so good. The swimming pool is very beautifil with the style of the ceramics too.
We stayed at Real palace for a week in October.
Manos the owner is adorable. So welcoming and went out of his way to help us. Letting us make calls when we had issues with the transfer. He was always willing to help and made us feel so welcome. It really was like a home from home. Manos also gave me his pack of cards which I borrowed all holiday along with two chocolate bars for the airport. A very sweet touch.
Costa the bar man made me laugh a lot! Such a warm friendly chilled out man who was very entertaining! We had a few shots of Raki for free too!
The rooms are clean and the pool is really nice! Gardens are well maintained and only a 10 minute walk to the old town!
A lovely hotel with lovely staff! You will feel like one of the family it’s all very chill!
Thank you Manos and family my mum
And I had such a lovely time
