This hotel is not a 5* hotel! We arrived to a very busy reception at 10am and were told to leave our bags at the front of the hotel and that our room would not be ready until 3pm, we were not given anywhere to freshen up or get changed and since our swimmers were in the bags we left out the front of the hotel we were stuck in the sun in jeans until then. There was no entertainment on at all other than the worst kids disco and this left the whole hotel with nothing to do as there is nothing within walking distance, people ended up sitting at the beach bar getting very drunk and noisy. Our room was close to the beach bar and none of my party slept all week with the noise. The food was terrible so bad it ended up an ongoing joke with everyone we spoke to within the hotel, everything for kids costs extra like slushies and icecream so my son lived off water as he doesn't drink fizzy juice. Our room was fine as we had one of the new style one but it was very smelly all the time. The pool area has a lot of mouldy build up around the pool that is incredibly slippery myself and lots of other slipped and nothing was done by the staff they just sat and watched people fall over. The wasps didn't bother me as I'm fine with wasps but other guests got very frustrated by them and there is nothing done by the hotel to keep them away.
We stayed here as our holiday to turkey was cancelled, the photos looked lovely and reviews weren’t too bad - I wish I had got a refund! Check in was manic which we understood under the circumstances, no one seemed to have a clue what they were doing. When we got our room, it was nothing like the photos on Jet2.com - dull and dated, not bright at all! The bathroom was disgusting and no staff wanted to help! The hotel was being shut down whilst we were there, they didn’t seem to care about the final guests! There was rubbish in the pool vents that was there all week. Tiles missing from the pool. The ‘snack bar’ closed towards the end of the week and so did the pool bars! Most of the time Vodka was out of stock, which only left barcardi - plain gin - ouzo and tequila as your spirit selection! I’ve creams are changed at €3.50 which jet2 do not tell you - they do not come included in your all inclusive package. Fresh orange is charged at €2. There was NO kids buffet, which is one of the reasons we chose this hotel (our youngest has never been abroad before so we wanted a back up in case he didn’t eat the local food). No member of staff wanted to help and trying to get them to tell us when a jet2 rep was available was an impossible task. WiFi was not connecting and nobody seemed to know the password. Was swarming with wasps around the pools and no sign of anything to deter them or capture them! We were made to feel like we were nothing because it was end of season, despite paying over £3500!
None of us recommend this hotel at all!
It was not made clear to us that our booking would coincide with the end of season for the resort and surrounding coastal town area.
We found that throughout the week, the hotel was beginning to close down its facilities which impacted on our stay. Things like the buffet restaurant and bars being closed down, meant a reduced service and limited selection of food and drinks at times. Sun loungers being actively removed and packed away was not only quite noisy and disruptive but also left us minimal options of somewhere to relax by both the pool and the beach.
We also found there was poor enforcement of any COVID-19 law and regulation once we arrived at the resort. Staff wore PPE at all times which we were glad to see and there were signs and notices present which outlined that masks and keeping a safe distance were required in indoor areas. However there appeared to be no thought put into the location of tables/chairs being within close proximity to eachother, which made it near impossible to maintain a safe distance from others. At no point did we see any of the staff monitoring or enforcing these rules. There were only a small number of guests who wore masks and very little social distancing took place.
Very poor ventilation and air circulation in rooms, leaving them damp. On one occasion a member of cleaning staff left the door to the balcony open and unlocked to provide some air flow which placed the safety of our belongings at risk
The rooms were very noisy and not sound proof at all
