With views out across the Ionian Sea towards the mountains of Albania, the beachfront Coral Beach Hotel offers a family-friendly place to enjoy the lifestyle of the Greek island of Corfu. With a backdrop of hills dotted with olive trees and a short walk from the village of Roda, the hotel also gives you the opportunity to explore the surrounding areas, dine at one of the seaside restaurants of simply sit back and relax next to the pool or on the beach. A buffet restaurant provides breakfast each morning, while there's also an a la carte menu. There's an outdoor pool and, for younger guests, there's also a shallower children's pool. You can have a refreshing drink next to the pool or in the evenings, with two bars at the hotel, including a poolside bar. Coral Beach Hotel is on Roda beach, where you can swim in the waters of the Ionian Sea or explore the beach bars, restaurants, supermarkets and souvenir shops that lie along it. The village of Roda has many laid-back tavernas that offer a chance to unwind while watching some traditional Greek entertainment. The surrounding countryside offers you the chance to explore by foot, bike or on horseback.
Coral Hotel is 200m from the centre of Roda, which lies on the north side of the island. The village is known for its seafront bars and tavernas, many of which serve traditional Greek cuisine such as fresh locally caught seafood. The beach is also 1km away, and is a 7km stretch of sandy coastline. The village of Kassiopi is 15km from the hotel and offers the chance to visit the Byzantine-era castle, which stands above the fishing village. For a day trip, you could also go to Corfu Town, the island's capital. Here you'll find plenty of shops and a buzzing nightlife.
The buffet restaurant is open for breakfast and offers Greek and snack food. You can also choose from an a la carte menu. There are bars by the pool and in the lounge, both of which serve a range of drinks and are open from mid-morning until late.
You can enjoy Roda's sandy beach, or if you'd like to explore the surrounding area, you could hire a bicycle in the village.
Coral Hotel has a lush, smaller pool area with a poolside bar.

This was our 3rd time at the Coral and every time you arrive you feel like you’ve never been away. Dimitris and the whole team cannot do enough to help everyone and the fantastic family atmosphere is perfect. In these uncertain times of Covid, it was such a relief to be able to totally relax knowing how safe you were in the hotel, Roda and Corfu in general. Can’t wait to see you all again next year. Thanks.
Thought I'd already written a review but better late than never. We always call here for a drink but also decided to book in for a meal after a few days. We shared a starter, I had lamb chops & Dave had souvlaki, all delicious. We had gin & tonic, brandy sour. Lovely warm welcome & hospitality with stunning views.
Hope to see you again next year.
the hotel is right on a pebble beach, and about 100 - 150 mts from the main beach area.
Whilst the hotel is slightly tired looking in places, it is still impressive. the standard of cleanliness is superlative.
they are probably the best with regard to dealing with COvid and are completely on top of it, making sure people are using their masks etc, gel aplenty to use.
Wasps are a bit of a hazard in Roda with fruit ripening, however there are simple and effective wasp traps all over that really work, I had no issues with wasps at all.
The food is good and actually varies from the menus of other restaurants along the strip by offering different meals. on site garden produce is used in the cooking too, so its fresh stuff. Breakfast was unspectacular, but sufficient.
There are three areas for rooms, some facing the sea, other rooms off site slightly and a row of rooms at 90 degrees to main building which is on two levels. you can see the sea/Albania from the top floor balconies if this interests you. Only niggle about the rooms was there needed to be more sockets. The bathroom was spotless, and the shower was fine.
Top floor balconies face directly east and you have a lovely sunrise view, but in the evening no sun comes into the room, but you can watch the sunset at the bar (sundowners anyone?)
It is quiet, peacefully quiet. the pool is ok for a dip and there were enough recliners at the time. However there is a large strip of grassed area which also has recliners available, so you should never have to fret about getting a lounger here.
Rooms have free air conditioning, but there is a charge for safety deposit boxes. if you are hiring a car, you have ample parking onsite.
There is an outside and inside area for either dining or having a drink overlooking the sea.
Overall a very nice place. would I return there? I can't think of going anywhere else, so yes
