Bamboo Hotel

Hotel situated near the ocean - 200 meters. Breakfast all time the same, but if you can eat you can do it. Room is clear and with bathroom and toilet. Bed is for me normal to sleep. Swimming pool and bar are very good and nice.

Hotel is in a good location being close to restaurants, shops and beach, all within walking distance. Hotel rooms could do with updating and those located further away from the pool bar lack access to WiFi. Breakfast adequate to start your day with omelettes, fried or scrambled eggs being made to order. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

On arrival swift room allocation .First impression of the room a prison cell bars up all the windows prisoner cell block H ! THE door had gaps all around . the toilet was bodged up with a plastic bag around the ball valve to stop it leaking and didn't fill properly the double glass sliding doors had a crack in the glass all across it the windows wrattled at night when he wind blew so I stuck a piece of cardboard in it ! the shower lost more water down the joint than came out the shower head ! room dark and dingy need I go on .

The night club at the rear has music until 5am that bounces off the walls in the room I had so not much sleep ! when music stops then the taxi men take great delight in honking their horns for another 10 mins then morning howling prayers

Bath towels are collected from your room at 8am ! returned later in the day great so if u haven't got a towel u cant dry your hands or shower after 8am !

Very basic room all in all must say a great big double bed in room and that's all !

Breakfast is basic .

The restaurant on site I must say does great food and stacks of choices at competive prices . I ate here in evening for 3 nights save getting harassed by the guys in the street which is very stressful I mite add and an utter pain .

The pool was lovelly .

The little garden at the beginning of the hotel by the pool had stacks of birds frequently that was a bonus and monkeys popped in too .

A bit on the cost of food - julbrew 100 dalasi can of coke 60d food ranged from 295 for fish and chips to t bone steak 450d sweets were from 180d - 250d a glass of wine 200d or a bottle for 800d small bottle water 50d

Water - get from outside you get 6 1 litre bottles for 180d

JULBREW- outside ranges from 70 -100 for a bottle 330mls in some places u can ask for draught julbrew 100d for a pint !

I ate basic food really and I still needed about 30 sterling a day as a guide for drinks and food

Plug sockets are the English ones
