Very nice and amazing place I enjoy it every-time I arrive here. The location and the food and the atmosphere. And the best thing is the room inside the pool this is the most recommended thing ever 😘🌅 can’t wait to visit again
Stayed here Feb 2020 for a month & didn't quite go to plan.
Unfortunately my second room was flooded & i fell and badly injured myself but the staff were amazing & carried me to another room unfortunately some of my gifts were smashed in the process & have to say the 3rd room was a bit dirty & i ended up with bite marks but the young men who clean these rooms had it spotless as soon as i said to them. Every room i had these young men had them spotless i would come into towels made into animals & have flowers next to my bed absolutely fabulous young men so polite & respectful so please leave a good tip for these guys they look after you very well & deserve that bit extra to tell them you appreciate their hard work. The Manager who is also an absolute Diamond even came to hospital with me unfortunately i had forgot insurance so just had to get on with the pain. I then had to move into my 4th room i had gave up unpacking by then. I was told it was a V.I.P room but it looked the same although it had a disabled toilet but it made my fear worse Incase i fell again. I was told they had rooms with a jacuzzi i was not offered this but it would have helped my aches & pains!!! But not all was lost.
Are great & kept spotless its the staff that make it great they are absolutely wonderful hard working men & woman & no one can say there is nothing to eat as there is always something to like & its a bonus the main restaurant is 24/7 if you need a snack :) The other restaurants are good to. The salads were gorgeous but unfortunately agitated my tummy, which is a pity as i could have lived on salad & pastries for the month. All the waiters were amazing & couldn't help enough & as a solo traveller made me feel at ease in their presence, They were absolute gentlemen all of them & the 3 woman i saw were always lovely.
The pool area: I would say the pools stairs and under bridges could be doing with some repairs but the warm pool is perfect you could sit in it all day.
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful the stunning architect alone is wonderful although it would have been better Egyptian style instead of Greek but cant take that away from how beautiful it is though!!
PIRATES BAR:: what a nightmare. The head of staff took an instant dislike to me & was very rude even all of the staff there would not serve me when i asked for a coffee or a beer etc i was constantly looked at like i was trash & ignored the full month i was there, i gave up & sat in my room watching movies every night because of their ignorance i was very hurt & upset as i don't judge people on their looks or their culture but they were very bigoted towards me & i found it very offensive so i had to contact the manager again & it was rectified but too late as i was leaving 2 days later so all that money to sit in a room each night for a month really annoyed me to the point i felt like leaving & going back to the Pharaoh azure which i stayed the previous year & was treated like a princess. I hope that head bar man feels ashamed of himself i wouldn't even trust him to pour me a coffee if i seen him again he would probably poison me that's how ignorant & rude he was the first Egyptian that treated me badly in all the years iv been going to Egypt.
I go every year to remember my parents & he ruined half my experience that's why i did not give a five star review if he was gone it would be 5* plus.
THE AQUA PARK: if you have kids they are gonna love this just a pity i couldn't go
on them or i would have lol, The beach Cafe do great pizza too & i had no problem with the staff, some were rude the others were lovely but not that fussed over it to be honest
HOTEL GROUNDS: Kept immaculate & beautiful flowers all over & also the stunning architecture on the seats etc. The gardeners were also lovely & pleasant i spoke to them about my garden & about plants, 1 of my hobbies :)
SHOPS IN HOTEL:
I had a great rapor with a couple of the shop keepers but the shop that faces the top elevator tried to con me by charging me £10 for a tub of chocolate, i realised the mistake & went back he practically called me a liar but he knew i would not budge till i got my money back so be careful.
Got a great bargain with 10 massages throughout my holiday but unfortunately the 2nd last massage i ended up with a trapped nerve which lasted till August because of Covid i could not go to hospital when i got home
FRONT DESK:: there was 3 of the staff, 2 young men & young girl from a number of staff that were terrific in helping me with a few thing & they were actually interested in listening to my broad scots accent & helped me with anything i needed also the Russian rep who sits across from the desk is a delightful, caring & thoughtful young woman so please give her the respect she deserves. .The rest of the front desk are just ignorant & don't have the patience to listen.
The manager said if i went back i would be on the V.I.P list so hope he keeps his word but with a jacuzzi thrown in as a sorry for my bad experiences as i have now decided to go back Christmas 2021 with my Aunt & the reason for this is that the staff, the food the architecture etc are worth going back to try again but PIRATES BAR!!!! only if they get rid of that head waiter or he stays out my way. Scottish people hate bad manners & rudeness, please take note if it wasn't for the Scots you wouldn't be speaking on phones or have penicillin etc as we invented it all!!!
I just want to say a massive thank you to the wonderful staff, the manager & the Russian rep, also my holiday rep from Gems holidays & yes i will bring back more presents as promised.
