Refund! DO NOT BOOK WITH BAHIA PRINCIPE!!!
Jan 2021 |

Bahia principe has lost their reputation of being a high class hotel as their actions do not match with what they say. I booked a flexible booking directly with them and due to covid my stay was cancelled, I was told via email that I will receive a refund in 14 days and it’s been over a month and I still haven’t received my refund

When I call the customer service was very rude and blamed covid about the refund which is irrelevant because I haven’t attended your premises

DO NOT BOOK WITH BAHIA PRINCIPE!!!

DO NOT BOOK WITH BAHIA PRINCIPE!!!

I am definitely going to make sure I take higher action to receive a refund because this Is a mess!!

Very nice hotel
Jan 2021 |

We definitely recommend this hotel! The staff and service was phenomenal and the a la carte restaurants were amazing. We really enjoyed the beach area. One quarrel we had was with The Greek restaurant. My boyfriend found a foreign object in his chicken kebab (a metal bristle). Then I found a plastic piece in my lamb kebab. Very odd. We understand these things happen but the service provided after we alerted the manager of it, was horrible. We alerted her immediately, she took the bristle, didn’t apologize or say anything else except asking us for our room number. No one ever addressed this after the incident nor apologized. We took the hotel survey and raised the same concerns to the hotel and all they told us was “we will forward this to appropriate departments.” Not handled well on their part. Otherwise everything else was fantastic! Much recommended.

A few tips: book reservations in advance for a la carte restaurants! We tried to change one 4 days before the date and couldn’t since everything was sold out.

Get to the beach early! Watch out for the vendors, they are a bit bothersome.

Make a my Bahia principe account so you can get free transfer included!

For restaurants:

Thali restaurant: AMAZING! Don’t pass it up. Great drinks and food. We had butter chicken for dinner.

Portofino: good food, great drinks! We went twice and had spinach ravioli, and lasagna. Lasagna was amazing- super flavorful.

MEAT: we personally didn’t like it. We thought the meat was over cooked and flavor was a bit off.

Tequila: amazing! We wish we were able to eat there for a second day. We had the burrito and steak and parm shrimp. Cheesecake for dessert was great too.

Greek: the food tasted very good just had a bad experience of eating it.
