The newly renovated Olympic Lagoon Resort is a family-friendly hotel with a wing that's exclusively for adults, called Fisherman's Village. Just outside Ayia Napa, the resort is near Nissi Bay on the south east coast of Cyprus. A short walk away from the hotel is Golden Beach. The popular Blue Flag Nissi Beach is also close by. As well as having use of the resort's shared facilities, Fisherman's Village has its own spacious garden with a secluded pool. There are plenty of choices when it comes to dining at this resort. Take your pick from five themed A la carte restaurants and a buffet restaurant for meals throughout the day. There's also a snack kiosk if you're feeling peckish, which serves ice cream all day and into the evening. If you find yourself getting thirsty during an afternoon of lounging in the sun, you can pop to the pool bar for refreshments. The hotel's pool area is dotted with palm trees and airy canopied terraces, where you can take a break from the heat. Within this luxurious complex there are several pools, as well as a whirlpool, and one of the longest lazy rivers in Cyprus. There's also a shallow kids' pool with a pirate ship and slides. If you want to keep up with your training sessions while away, you can visit the hotel's gym or take part in a game of tennis. For more relaxing activities, the spa offers treatments and also has an indoor pool, sauna and steam room for over 18s.
From the Olympic Lagoon Resort, you can enjoy views out across the Mediterranean Sea, or pop across the road to the beach 250m away and test the water for yourself. Along the popular area of the south east coastline, you'll find plenty of beaches to choose from. Just outside the hotel, there's a collection of souvenir shops and a mini market 100m away, where you can stock up on essentials. If you fancy exploring further afield, you can get a taxi from here to the resort of Ayia Napa. Known as the island's party capital, this lively area has plenty of options for food, drinks and nightlife. To find out about the island's history, you can take a 1.2km walk to the Ayia Napa Monastery. This is the area's most significant landmark and it dates back to the 11th century.
The resort has a main buffet restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are also themed dining experiences including a retro-style American diner, as well as an Asian and an Italian restaurant. For more ‡ la carte options, you can eat in a restaurant serving Cypriot dishes.
During the day, you can join in with organized workouts or play football or basketball. The resort also offers evening entertainment several times a week.
Large and nice pool areas where the whole family can find their favorite pool. The youngest guests enjoy the best in the shallow pool with pirate ships and water slides. There is also a large lovely pool with waterfalls and bridges where the family can enjoy the love of the heart. A pool welcomes guests over 18 years old. To go to the Lazy River, you must be at least 130 cm tall and go to an adult's party.
The resort's rooms have a Cypriot-style décor, with a seating area. Rooms also have a whirlpool and air conditioning.

Having had many holidays and cruises cancelled like others due to Covid we booked this one only a couple of weeks before due to Turkey being taken off the travel corridor. Despite the hassle and stress of getting the tests done it was worth it. I'm not a lover of AI hotels normally but this was a Fantastic resort!! Clean, well equipped rooms with comfy beds. The pools were brilliant and the lazy river an instant hit with everyone. I loved watching the daily weddings from the river.
Food is superb in the al a carte restaurants - particularly the Greats and the Orchid. The american diner is probably the poorest choice of places to eat. The steak is not great and the cheesecake I just don't know what they were doing with it but it was like rubber. The Greats however if your lucky enough to get in each week was amazing with everything our party had on the menu being 10/10. The waiter there Angelos who also works at the Garibaldi is a credit to the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The Orchid restaurant food is very tasty and fresh. Again it has a fantastic waiter with Raj - lovely man.
In fact the staff are probably the biggest asset this hotel has given they all got the news the hotel had to close early whilst we were there due to Cyprus being added to the quarantine list, they continued to serve and smile.
The entertainment is the best I have seen in a hotel - usually its pretty average and cheesy. The team worked hard to put professional shows together and delivered archery lessons, etc in the day. In particular Eleanor and Sarah were warm, friendly and entertaining in addition to being extremely talented.
I don't normally leave reviews mentioning people as I usually don't take much notice of names unless the service is bad but that just shows how great this hotel and its people are worthy of mentions.
We visited this hotel as we were unable to self isolate when Turkey was taken off the travel corridor.
We upgraded our room and it was very nice but no separate bed for our large 10 year old only a sofa.
It’s a very good looking hotel with excellent service throughout the week from the girl’s serving at the lobby bar.
It was very very busy at half term and space was an issue on the family side.
Weather was fantastic but felt the a la cartes were a little disappointing.
My highlight was the fresh pasta man at lunch absolutely awesome. We ate in the American Dinner when we weren’t in an a la carte and had excellent service.
Really pleased we visited this hotel and can see why there are a lot of excellent reviews.

We had an excellent week here despite the restrictions. A beautiful place with helpful and friendly staff especially Jack lakovou. Who goes out of his way to help with anything he can. He is a asset to the hotel. I will definitely recommend and visit again.
