Hotel looked beautiful on the photos. However, close by, once can see that the hotel must have been built during '70ties and barely upgraded since. Elevators are old-fashioned, tiny, with double doors, very characteristic of the age when hotel was built (with exception of panorama elevator that actually has been added after 70ties or 80ties to the hotel).
I would not recommend comming here with small kids, the balconies are terribly made, with usafe spaces between balcony floor and the fence...if you are a bit afraid of heights as I am, you will find that balcony is a waste as it stimulates unsafe feeling.
Toilets are the worse...shower curtains that do not help containing water, showers that are outdated and poorly maintained, rusty radiators...and cleaning policy is a joke-they do not clean! That is unless you come at the reception and tell what they should do... And you need to be specific, like: please vacumclean, take out the garbage and replace towels...they will do only what you tell them, nothing else...so if you intend to stay here, I would suggest making a list of chores and sharing that at reception every day.. Otherwise you end up in worse maintained rooms than you would have in much cheaper apartments, where you actually have tools to clean...
To top it all, if you think covid is real (which I happen to think), this is not hotel for you. People do not obey distancing (even with signs staring at them), tell you that all is conspiracy theory, and queueing at the buffet is a nightmare of being to close to each other and food...I found it very stressful to go there for meals.
The only positive thing about this hotel are people working there. Each is friendly and helpful, and even under heat, masks and stress they have smiles on their faces.
Is this what we need in corona times?!
No, the beaches are full, Boats are full. Allot of People dont Care about distans. Only in shops and some restaurants they have facevover. One month ago there was no problem. Now start to be as people think all is back to normal.
Please take a step back
We travelled as usual on a Jet2 Holiday booking, the flight was on time from Manchester and a lovely comfortable flight on one of the newest Boeing 737 aircraft which was immaculate.
On time arrival and personal transport in a Mercedes People carrier had us there in just over one hour.
Check in was a breeze and the room and provided a nice side/ seaside view with the Biokovo mountain on the right.
The Hotel was a little different due to the COVID issue.
Rooms not serviced unless requested, at meal times Staff filled you plate with what you wanted. Hotel was clean and Sanitisers in many locations.
On the second day we had a visit from a very nice young Lady - Sladjana, who would help with any request we made, leaving her contact details, we also spoke to each other on the ‘phone.
The resort was quite busy and the weather was good, we visited Bars we have enjoyed previously and all remembered us!
On day of return we again had a People Carrier type vehicle to ourselves to the Airport.
A young Lady from Jet2 was awaiting our arrival - Sladjana had asked her to wish us well.
A really nice break in all, only worrying thing is that although there are Telephones in the Rooms there is no instructions on how to ring Reception in an Emergency which may delay Medical help, or notification of Fire or other issues.
Perfect flight back to Manchester on a B737 under one year old. Thanks to all and a special thanks to Sladjana, we will be back God Willing! Derek & Vanessa.
