Nestled within a pine forest on the shore of Punta Rata beach in Brela, Bluesun Hotel Marina offers a Croatian holiday overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Punta Rata was the first Blue Flag beach in Croatia and is home to the Brela Stone, a chunk of rock just offshore that often features on postcards of the area. Brela is the northernmost point of the Makarska Riviera, which is famed for having a number of beaches. The hotel is set in green gardens and has a set of steps that lead down to the beach. If you fancy a friendly game, there are plenty of activities on site, including tennis, table tennis and mini golf. You can keep up your fitness regime in the gym, then relax in the sauna or enjoy a drink at the bar. There are outdoor swimming pools that you can use at the neighbouring Bluesun Maestral hotel. If you walk along the coastline you'll find a range of restaurants, cafÈs and small souvenir shops to browse. If you'd prefer to do something a little more active, you can cycle along the promenade or take in the coastline from a sea kayak. You'll also find diving available if you'd like to take an underwater adventure.
The hotel is 50m from the beach and 600m from the centre of Brela. Part of Brela sits in the Nature Park Biokovo, a forested area sheltered by the Biokovo mountain range. There are walking trails that can take you up parts of the mountain, and along the way you might visit the botanical garden close to Makarska, 10km away, and discover the remains of historic stone structures. A longer hike will take you to the peak of Sveti Jure, which offers views over the coastline. For a day trip, you could head to Split. Here you can explore Diocletian's Palace, the Fortress of Klis and the Cathedral of Saint Domnius. This hotel is not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.
The hotel has a buffet restaurant offering breakfast and dinner. You can also order room service during breakfast time. If you feel like dining out, the restaurants and cafÈs in Brela are a short walk away, or you can head to the main centre in Makarska for more options.
Children have access to the neighboring hotel's playground. The hotel organizes musical entertainment in the restaurant during the summer months.
Each room has a balcony or terrace, a minibar, satellite TV, Wi-Fi and air conditioning. There's also a safe for your valuables.
The reception is at floor 4. The hotel has a small souvenir shop.

Stayed at the Bluesun Marina in Brella, September 19th to 29th 2019, and had a fantastic holiday. Although the hotel is a little dated, all of the aminities are first class. The staff were all wonderful , from Vinceci and Dino in reception (and all the ladies I didnt get names) to the dining staff and the amazing lady who cleaned our room. The hotel was kept very tidy and very clean, and we would recommend it highly.
Brella was beautiful, and we were very impressed with the beaches, and crystal clear water. The Hotel is in a magnificent position overlooking the beaches, and a short stroll from the restaurants, cafes, and shops.
Another highlight for my wife was the wonderful massage she had in the hotel, and it wasnt even advertised.
