We took one night in hotel and payed in advanced at promotoins with special offer. Hotel is nice placed with 10 minute walk from old town Pile-Stradun and other side - Lapad and Gruz...The hotel was very clean and room was spacious, more then good enough for two. The breakfast was also very tasteful but the service under corona is quite odd - you can pick only originaly packed food - butter or yoghurt, but for cup of coffee or peace of bread or croisant, you have to ask the stuff. They were very helpful and very fast and polite...so hope we see them again....
We arrived before the check-in time after an early flight, we were able to store our bags in a baggage storage room before starting on our trek around Old Dubrovnik.
We got back to the hotel around 5pm and checked in. This was a very quick process. We had room 376 on the top floor at the back of the hotel, it did not have much of a view but was nice and quiet.
The room we had was one of the recently renovated ones which had a good size bathroom with a shower over the bath. There were very nice toiletries and a good powerful hairdryer. We also had a fridge and a free safe. There was a big TV but no English channels not even a news channel, not that we we there to watch TV but would have been nice to see what was happening around the world during Covid.
Breakfast was buffet style and had a good selection of hot and cold food, cereal, fruit, pastries and a great coffee machine but could not help yourself; there were 4 or 5 waitresses that would plate your selection for you, even the coffee and juice had to be served by them. But I am guessing that this is similar at most hotels around the world now due to Covid19.
There was a nice swimming pool that had guests swimming and sunbathing around to 7 or 8pm.
Next door to the hotel is an excellent Bosnian Restaurant, Taj Mahal, which we ate at on our last night. We had three courses, a litre of house wine and coffee for just over £80, very reasonable for Dubrovnik.
We would definitely stay here again if we went back to Dubrovnik.
A good hotel. Pool and gym good as was breakfast which was included in our rate. Location about 25 mins walk from the Old Town. Room reasonably spacious. The staff on reception when we arrived were unhelpful and told us to go away and come back in 20 mins which wasn’t practical as there was nowhere to park.
