This review is based on a family stay in June 2017. A large hotel that gets quite busy when a wedding is on (4 out of 7 days when we were here) but great facilities and a location that more than makes up for the occasional noisiness. The children (ages 21 and 23) made the most of the gym, the indoor pool and the easy access to the crystal clear sea. It was only a 15 minute walk to the city walls so we ate in the Old City most nights after the cruise ships had moved on and the city got a little quieter. A great hotel.
nice hotel food very expensive staff are nice it was near all the historic places we wanted to see felt safe walking from the hotel to the town the views from the hotel are fantastic dubrovnik is a beautifully town
Grand Villa Argentina is one of the oldest hotels in Dubrovnik, and its amazing location makes it a super exclusive place to be. Venturing into the lobby makes one immediately facing a stunning view over the sea and island Lokrum.
We came here after our stay in Montenegro, where we luckily also stayed outside the old town. We have spent a week in Dubrovnik and it was the best decision to book Argentina, so we didn’t have to go to the old city, saturated with tourists and cheap entertainment. Hotel itself is nice, certainly it has seen a better days, but all in all it was a decent place to be outside the madness of the city walls. Just 10 minutes walk to the actual town of Dubrovnik! Staff is absolutely fantastic, helping with anything absolutely anything. Very knowledgeable and polite!
Rooms are little outdated, with upholstery from 80s, but spectacular grounds and views make up for every short comings! We have spent most of the time on lovely terraces of the hotel and its stone beach.
