We arrived in the night and we reserved a pick up from the airport that didn't show up.
We tried to clarify at the reception but nobody can speak or understand English at all.
The room was dirty and we had to wait 30 minutes for someone to come changing towel and wipe the floor (at least of the bathroom). When a lady came, she left and came back 20 minutes later with a mosquito spray. We had to translate at 11pm in Portuguese because she couldn't understand that towels were BROWN.
We were staying at an apartment in Murdeira so used the restaurant in the evening and took a look at the pool by day.
The Murdeira community is a small dormitory place that seems mainly made up of holiday lets and expats. There is one hotel (this one), one other daytime cafe, one small shop, and that’s it. It is not a “resort” and is some miles from anywhere else.
This restaurant was fine for us on our one night stay. The food was good and, unusually in Cape Verde, actually used garlic well.
The pools looked good if basic.
Outdated hotel, rooms clean but bit outdated. Very friendly staff, they try to make the best of it but with little means. Food is basic but ok, small buffet but quality ok. Swimmingpool is great only there are no matresses on the wooden very hard sunbeds. So not possible to lay down there.
Its a resort with private houses and a small part is hotel. Bit far from everything but next to the sea.
