Iberostar Boa Vista is a luxury, All Inclusive hotel that has a seafront location in Praia de Chaves, on the island of Boa Vista, Cape Verde. The hotel is on a hill in gardens dotted with palms, south of the resort of Sal Rei. It has three outdoor pools, one of which is an infinity pool with views over the Atlantic Ocean. Rooms have light and contemporary decor in different colour themes. In the evening, you can dine in one of the hotel's restaurants and enjoy the sea view. There's a buffet and an a la carte restaurant, both of which offer a mix of local and international dishes. There are also several bars, including a pool and beach bar at the hotel. If you're feeling a little peckish, some of these offer simple dishes and snacks. Iberostar Boa Vista has a spa with an indoor pool and a whirlpool. The hotel organises daytime activities such as Pilates, Zumba and aerobics, and evening entertainment including live music. For children, there's a playroom and an international children's club with fun activities. If you're missing any essentials, there's a mini market on site for your convenience.
Iberostar Boa Vista is a short stroll from the long, wide beach at Praia de Chaves. There are 100 steps from the main pool down to the beach. The beach is open to the Atlantic with its waves and strong winds, meaning people kite surf here. In the beaches north and south of Sal Rei, the waves are higher and undercurrents can occur. If you want to visit the resorts of Rabil or Sal Rei, you can easily take a taxi. It's 3km to Rabil and 10km to Sal Rei. The hotel is 3km from the airport at Boa Vista.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available at the buffet restaurant, or you can have dinner at the ‡ la carte restaurant. Lunch and dinner include water, soft drinks, beer and wine. Coffee, tea and drinks are available from the bar, open from mid-morning until late. You can find snacks at the pool and beach bars.
There's a children's pool, a tennis court and a gym for adults, while the hotel also organises dance classes and beach hikes.
Lovely pool area with three pools. From the infinity pool you have a great view of the sea.
All rooms include Wi-Fi, a TV with satellite channels, a minibar and a laundry service. Baby cots are also available for families.

So tell me my good friends, what is it about overseas hotels and the English when it comes to rooms. I emailed the hotel "Iberostar" and told them that I am in my eighties and, if there is no lift, then I require a minimum of stairs. So what is the first room I am allocated? You've guessed. Back of the hotel and up this country's equivalent of the Spanish Steps. So, back to reception and after giving them the Phillips charm offensive, for which there is no know defence, we have a great room on the ground floor with a rear balcony overlooking the garden and the front door a two minute walk to the pool area and an amazing beach. Why couldn't we have been given this the first time I will never know and saved all that bother.
Have just returned from a 26 day holiday can't fault this hotel at all everything 5 star staff brilliant the hotel is spotless. My only moan is long trousers for men at night tailor shorts
look just as smart just a suggestion I think it
would be nice to put a recycling box at reception for all the half empty suncream that people don't want to take home and then people could swap it if they run short. All in all a fab holiday so much so we have booked for another month in November keep up the good work fab can't wait to return see you in November xxx lynda and Eugene
Have just returned from this resort and cannot speak more highly of it.
The staff where excellent, polite, efficient and professional.
The food was delicious. Each meal was well presented, varied and tasty.even the pool snack bar was great. My favourite meal was breakfast if I am honest. What a lovely clean and varied selection. All meals were served well and hygienically, I should know as I am a health & hygiene operative in London.
The rooms were excellent. The grounds clean and very well maintained.
I have only one reservation about this resort and that is the beach. If you are a sea swimmer this is not the place for you as the tides are massive and very dangerous. There was a red flag for full duration of my 10 day stay.
Having said that the beach was glorious
I would like to thank all of the staff for an excellent holiday and I look forward to returning in the near future
