Not sure why people book a 5 star hotel and then write reviews moaning about A) the lack of music in the bars and round the pool (really ??) , B) Not being able to get a drink after 1am and drinks not served fast enough. There are plenty of 3 star hotels in Playa Los Americas if you want this experience. This is not a hotel for people who are going to moan about having to actually dress in long trousers and a shirt for dinner. Don't book if you wanna wear a football shirt and shorts and eat deep fried food and chips !! This is a reserved , laid back sophisticated hotel , more suited to stylish Europeans than the English Tui package holiday crowd.
There are very few hotels in the world where you can visit and feel instantly part of the family, H10 Atlantic Sunset is one of them. I have reviewed this five-star hotel before as 5* and am happy to do so again despite not being able to revisit just yet.
Throughout the entire Coronavirus pandemic the hotel family have worked tirelessly to ensure that my needs and expectations are met without hesitation or quarrel. Initially I was due to spend my 30th birthday at AS but of course this was not possible, so the family worked hard for me to ensure that my booking could be reallocated to another date to suit me, completely free of charge, taking into account my preference for the suite that I book. After 4 changes, both occupancy level and dates, they still remain happy to assist me and that is absolutely what matters to me. Personalisation and customer service are key.
Although every single member of the family deserves praise I would like to send my special thanks to a selection of people:
Marc Balañá for his outstanding attention to detail and personalistion, Carolien van Oorschot for her impeccable customer service and the way in which she represents H10, Iago Cela for his continual professional assistance and for taking an interest in my photography at the hotel; and finally Lucia Toledo... who has had to put up with me CONSTANTLY annoying her with my requests. She has always remained determined to help, polite and ready to spread happiness to the guests of H10 AS.
I sincerely hope that Jordi Espelt, CEO of H10, reads this and that the family at H10 AS receive the congratulations they deserve.
See you all again in October (I hope!)
We enjoyed our stay at the fabulous H10 Atlantic Sunset hotel despite the impending threat of Coronavirus. The staff were fantastic in making us feel safe and welcome despite the challenges faced by the virus. I hope they all stay safe and secure in their jobs as the outbreak unfolds.
The hotel is beautiful. Our room and the lovely infinity pool were the highlights.
The staff were fantastic in making our holiday extra relaxing. Special mention goes to Enzo, Georgia and Merida of the entertainment team for their daily exercise classes. We were lucky enough to benefit from some demonstration massages that Enzo organised in conjunction with the SPA .
The Flamenco night was the highlight of the evening entertainment. The low numbers of guests meant that there was little atmosphere at the evening events. Better stage lighting in the theatre would also help create a better atmosphere.
We ate every evening in the Market Place buffet restaurant. The food was fresh and varied but not particularly exciting. The themed Mexican evening and the feast of langoustines were the most memorable aspects of the dinners.
The proximity to the stop for the 471 bus into Adeje and Los Cristianos was useful as was the hotel’s own shuttle.
There is a limited amount to do in the area adjacent to the hotel. The exception is the excellent Roca Negra bar which is great for a sundowner cocktail or a meal. We enjoyed the Italian daily special dishes on the day of our departure.
I hope to return to this hotel and Tenerife in the future.
Best wishes to the staff at these difficult times.
