We had a lovely holiday whilst in Tenerife. The hotel wasn’t the best, but it certainly isn’t the worst!
The hotel staff were all friendly, including the people on front desk, the maids and the catering staff.
We stayed bed and breakfast, and the breakfast had good variety and we always left feeling full.
We also took a few bread rolls to have for lunch :)
The hotel rooms were clean and tidy.
The pool was great and my children absolutely loved the activities the hotel provided, which included archery, a pool foam party and a giant inflatable slide for the swimming pool.
In the evening they usually had an event on, exotic birds, karaoke, reptiles etc. The professional photos were 10 euros per photo.
Our main downside, is the massive hill! The hotel is on a huge hill. After about 2 days, we just decided to walk down the hill (where the shops/restaurants/beach etc) and get a taxi back up (which was about 4 euros)
I have to say I wasnt expecting much given the bad reviews prior to coming but I was pleasantly surprised. Dont get me wrong the place is certainly not 4 star but you get what you pay for...if your looking for luxury pay extra £££ and go elsewhere.
The 1 bedroom appartment were clean and of good size for 3. more ideal for 2 due to storage for clothing ect but was easy enough to workaround. We only really spend time in the room to sleep so was not an issue. Safe came free of charge no need to pay deposit ect which was ideal. plenty of pots and pans if lookig to cook. Bottle opener and corkscrew which was a bonus. No wine glass but easily obtained from the bar.
Pool was nice and quiet with plenty of sunloungers. only experience of the food due to self catering was my son got a juice and hotdog and chips at lunchtime on our first day at the poolbar which was less than 5 euros...chips were nice and fresh. Small shop onsite which is open from around 8am till 10pm. little more expensive tha the local hiperdino but ideal if not wanting to walk far.
The beach and restraunts are a short 30 min walk. Yes the hill is very steep but we were walking up and done twice a day with no issues. Yes if you have mobility issues it would be different but there were many residents hiring mobility scooter which would be an ideal solution.
We were staying when the whole of tenerife went into shutdown due to the corona virus and on the last day the pool and bars were closed people were not allowed to leave there rooms unless going to the pharmacy or supermarket. We were due to checkout so would have been a complete nightmare but top marks to the staff who were very helpful and said we could keep the room until our 530pm pick up free off charge. I would certainly return here for my next cheap as chips holiday.
Stayed for week in March for my 60th birthday but upgraded to all inclusive for last three days which proved good value for money. Food choice very good and due to coronavirus problem the restaurant was very empty. Pool area lovely and no problem getting a sunbed. Rooms very dated with cracked floor tiles, lack of a mirror and towels changed three times but very threadbare. Rooms need refurbishing but understand this is in their programme. Walk to beach ok but tough if health and mobility issues but knew this as read reviews. Would return if rooms and towels upgraded. Paid deposit for remote control but really a waste of time as English channels very hard to find. Hotel not at full capacity due to coronavirus outbreak but ashamed at other Brits behavior with leaving their rubbish and discarded fast food containers by pool - rubbish bins within metres but completely disregarded to use.
