Los Jameos Playa

Seaside Los Jameos Playa is a family-friendly hotel in the resort town of Puerto del Carmen on the south east coast of Lanzarote. The area is known for its sandy beaches and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Bright splashes of colour, whitewashed walls and a landscaped garden with palm trees give a modern look to the hotel. Pocillos beach is steps from the hotel. Here, you can enjoy views over the Mediterranean Sea, stroll across the shoreline or relax under a palm tree with a drink from the hotel's pool bar. There are two outdoor pools at the hotel. Children can have fun in the separate shallower kids' pool. During your stay at Seaside Los Jameos Playa you can use the hotel's spa with a sauna, and you can book in a massage or beauty treatment. You can also try your hand at a game of volleyball on the beach, or play football on the hotel's pitch. Tennis players can make the most of the court facilities and equipment at the resort. You could also play a more relaxed game of darts, table tennis or pool. The hotel also has a gym, so you can keep up with your fitness while you're on holiday. You can enjoy local and international food at the hotel's two restaurants and a selection of drinks at its three bars. There is entertainment six days per week at Seaside Los Jameos Playa, usually including live shows in English, Spanish and German.

From Seaside Los Jameos Playa, it's a short 100m walk to a local supermarket for holiday essentials. Pocillos beach is also a 100m walk from the hotel, with clear waters for swimming and a sandy shore. Puerto del Carmen, with a seaside boulevard, lined with shops and restaurants is 1km from the hotel. If you enjoy playing golf, it's a 3km drive to Lanzarote Golf Course from the hotel. Lanzarote also has many more beaches you can visit, such as Playa Chica Beach (6km away) and Playa de Matagorda (8km). For a day trip, you can head to the south-west coast to visit Timanfaya National Park and its dramatic volcanic landscape, 22 km away. You can also experience camel-riding on the site. Another local attraction you could see is Cueva De Los Verdes, 32km from the hotel. This landmark is an underground volcanic cave that's also home to a concert hall.

Seaside Los Jameos has a buffet restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a variety of local and international food to choose from. It also has regular theme nights. There's one a la carte restaurant that's open for lunch. Drinks are served throughout the day at the hotel's three bars.

The hotel has kids' and junior clubs where children and teens can participate in fun activities, as well as make new friends during the day.

All rooms have a HD TV, minibar and air conditioning. There's also a balcony or terrace.

Re-opened and better than ever
Jan 2021 |

We have been repeat guests at this hotel for the last 12 years at least. We stayed for 2 days in December just as the hotel opened its doors again for the first time since March. We loved the refurbishments of the piano bar, the pool bar and the other improvements. But most of all we loved the warm welcome back by the familiar faces and the tales of the staff from 2020. It was very emotional to see the director of the hotel at the doors as it opened accompanied by the staff welcoming their guests again.

Despite its long period of closure, it remains the most special hotel. It reflects the love and care of the management and all who have looked after it so carefully during it’s unprecedented closure. We were not surprised that the Covid safety was run with the same scrutiny and efficiency as the rest of the hotel without being overbearing or troublesome. We loved that there was still a buffet, a safe one.

Great food, comfort and service etc it’s all been said before. We simply cannot wait for a longer holiday there however much longer we may have to wait....and it’s already longer than we had planned!

Excellent family-friendly resort in great location
Dec 2020 |

We just returned having spent 6 nights staying half-board with our 2 kids. Despite the restrictions due to COVID (face masks, etc- very strict which we liked), we were extremely impressed with the location, facilities, food and above all the excellent customer service. The resort had everything we wanted- great location next to a splendid beach with stunning sunrise viewpoint and lots of restaurants/ shops nearby ; great facilities for kids (pool, table tennis, tennis, mini-golf) and above all stunning food. The head chef went the extra mile to take care of our needs as we are strictly vegetarian which we really do appreciate. We were impressed by the extremely helpful staff at the resort.

We will definitely stay here when we come to Lanzarote again.
