Paradise Island is a family-friendly hotel in the resort of Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. It's a short walk from the hotel to the town's beach. Two breakwaters protect the shore here, meaning the small bay with its crescent of sand is almost free of waves. Looking inland from Paradise Island you can see the mountains of the nearby national park. The hotel is built in a modern style that reflects local Spanish architecture. At the centre of Paradise Island you'll find the pool area, where you can take part in activities or relax on the sun deck. There are two outdoor pools, whilst kids can enjoy two separate, shallower pools as well as a mini water park with a variety of slides. Other activities to keep children entertained include a playground, a disco and clubs for kids, juniors and teens. When you feel the need for a spot of relaxation, you can visit the hotel's spa and unwind with a massage or beauty treatment. In the evening, the whole family can enjoy dinner in the hotel's buffet restaurant, followed by an entertaining show or live singers. If you fancy dancing, there's a disco bar that stays open until late.
From Paradise Island it's 1.5km to Flamingo Beach and 2km to the centre of Playa Blanca, one of Lanzarote's most popular resorts. It runs around a headland and along the coast, which is lined with sandy beaches. In town, there's also a harbour and a bustling promenade that's lined with lively bars and seafood restaurants. The neighbouring town of Castillo del Aguila is 5km from the hotel. Here you can hire a boat from the marina to explore the island's coastline. Playa Blanca's water park is 1km from the hotel. If you'd like to see some local scenery and Lanzarote's famous dormant volcanoes, Timanfaya National Park is 20km away.
You can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at Paradise Island's buffet restaurant, which offers international cuisine. You'll also find kids' options and regular themed nights. There's a pool bar serving snacks and drinks throughout the day, or you can relax with a drink in the lobby bar until late in the evening.
At Paradise Island you can stay active with an aerobics class, archery, darts, football and tennis. If you fancy a workout, there's a hotel gym.
The apartments at Paradise Island all have a balcony or terrace as well as a microwave, fridge-freezer and kettle. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are available.

Where can I start.. Boris announced lockdown sat I jumped on the plane Sunday... I was a bit apprehensive due to the fact the reviews weren't the best but I'm so glad I just went with my gut.. I couldn't fault this hotel at all.
I only paid 636 for me and my 7 year old and it was totally worth it. Yes the pool was cold but the best way round that is to get a grip and just jump in lol!..
Food was fantastic can't fault it at all unless you expect the ritz standards then don't book a 3 star...
Location is OK.. Either a 3 euro ride in a taxi to town and about a 3 4 min drive or a 30 min walk which was canny.
Entertainment was done as much as they could and they tried so hard considering the amount of restrictions they probably had to work around.. If covid ever goes I think the entertainment would be amazing.
What I really liked was the hotel being so close together and no wasted spaces so everyone had a joke and were friendly all the kids made loads of friends
I would definitely stay here again it was a great last min deal I got..
Ignore the rubbish reviews and enjoy your holiday!
We stayed here last minute at half term and so glad we booked. When we arrived the hotel only had about 25% guests with Skelton staff. When it became evident that guest capacity would increase significantly the manager pulled in every available member to assist. We had a problem with our 1st room and they moved us and went above and beyond to resolve any issues. Needless to say certain events couldn't happen or were closed, but again the staff were exceptional at endeavouring to provide a quality service. I seen some complaints on here about there being no shops, if people bothered to ask reception there was actually a shop just a little further up from our hotel tucked away behind another one, was only a couple of minutes walk. There was lovely food to suit even the fussiest of people and nothing was ever to much trouble for the staff. All in all the hotel achieved to give families a much needed break at short notice and certainly gave us a memorable holiday. Thank you
Booked last minute due to quarantine getting lifted, went on the 29th for a week with partner and son.
