We stayed here for 2 weeks in December and had a wonderful holiday which was much needed in the midst of a global pandemic. Check in was easy and protocol re Covid was strictly adhered to.
We were allocated a 2 bedroom apartment no 403 which was quiet, bright, spacious and recently refurbished.
The food in the restaurant was excellent with a wide choice of hot and cold food. The hot dishes were very tasty, especially the paella’s, ropa vieja and Canarian potatoes with mojo rojo. There were also theme nights such as Italian, Chinese and Indian. The chefs and manager were in attendance at meal times checking the abundance and quality of the catering.
The bar service and quality of wine, beer and spirits was very good for an all inclusive. Also the bar was outdoors, a great asset during the current Covid crisis.
I would also like to mention Vicky, the Jet2 rep who was so helpful in relocating us to this hotel, when our original booking was changed at the last minute.
Overall I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to family and friends.
Four of us stayed here for a short break earlier this month and had a lovely time. The staff were friendly and welcoming, particularly the bar staff and entertainment person and we felt very safe and looked after even through the Coronavirus pandemic. Guests were reminded to wear masks at reception, bar and dining room and use sanitiser gel and gloves in the restaurant but this was done very politely and in a supportive and encouraging way. Plenty of food and drink choice, we were more than happy. Our bungalow was perfect and the complex clean and well looked after. We would definitely recommend and consider visiting again
Arrived on 3/12/20 for a weeks sun. First impressions of the hotel were great, beautiful pool area but very very quiet ,only around 40 guests. Bungalows are lovely, very clean and everything you would need, kettle, fridge, hairdryer. Cleaned every day with fresh towels. Comfy beds, although could have done with extra blankets as cold at night, our fault for not asking as they were available from reception.
We paid 60 euros for TV remote and pool towels. Only able to get BBC 1 in English but we didnt go away to watch tv so not a problem.
Food served in the restaurant was adequate, not very warm, and cold plates. However very hard to cater for so few guests with wide range of opening times so they did their best in a difficult situation. After a couple of days a manager appeared and things improved, he really kept the staff on their toes and to be fair any problems voiced to him he sorted out. More guests arrived so the atmosphere improved. The only bar open was outside and as the temperature dropped at night it was very cold. Staff were brill and very friendly in the bar. Restaurant staff were all very young and lacked the personal touch that comes with experience.
As a previous review states the entertainment was lacking. Our first night we had a singer called Joseph who was really good but sadly only saw him once. The highlight of each evening was Bingo !!!!!! and only 1 ticket per person, only other act was a magic act who was actually very good but not enough guests to really appreciate his skills and that was it for entertainment. A couple of attempts at Karaoke but equipment failure stopped that. Fabio did his best and was lovely but not brill. Very sad to see Playa Blanca so deserted with very few bars or shops open which forced you to stay in the hotel so could have been better. We would return though as they did a great job under very difficult circumstances
