I booked all inclusive and upgraded to the level.

On first arriving was greeted by a wonderful member of staff (Pablo) As we had booked the level we expected to get the level experience check in - this didnt happen. We were checked in at the standard reception, our room was not ready so we were taken to wait in the pool area - the standard pool area NOT the level one. We got a beer and cocktail from the pool bar which were both served in cardboard takeaway coffee cups. This was so disappointing and certainly not 5. The room was nice and clean although a broken tile leaving a hole in the patio and there was a skylight in the shower which was covered in black mold. Very disappointing that as all inclusive the mini bar didn't have any drinks unless we paid extra - ive always had drinks/soft drinks as all inclusive at other hotels.

Signage around the hotel was non existent we wandered around frustrated trying to find the gym and other areas.

The buffet food was limited and very dry. It sat under the heaters the whole time - dried up and awful. It wasnt until day 5 that we found out we could order from a menu at lunch instead of the buffet. This food was lovely. But noone told us about this and in fact every lunch after the staff would always ask for your drinks order and the direct you to the buffet and almost felt like you were putting them out by requesting something from the menu. On an evening it was buffet only - As all inclusive i have never felt that i need to eat out at previous holidays BUT this hotel we did eat out on several evenings. Included in our stay was one evening in the level restaurant (paid if you want to go anymore) this meal was excellent!!! and proves they are capable of providing a 5 experience.

We often went to bed early after sitting in the bar frustrated with rude staff that simply avoided or took an unacceptable time to serve you. Jose was the worse person with no customer service skills. We were even told that beer wasnt included in our all inclusive deal when we ask to have two beers to take back to the room WTF

The pool areas in particular the level is great. The man on the level pool bar is wonderful. the main pool pathways are so uneven and a trip hazard. duuring our stay a 1,5L bottle of water had been left by the gate to the level restaurant this was there for NINE days noone saw or cleaned it up. A tampon(unused) was on the pathway to the poo; for FIVE days. One afternoon we returned to our room at 3pm some guests had placed their room service plates outside their door and another had left several empty bottles at 10am the next morning as we headed for the pool these were still there!!!

On checking out we simply got told 'thats fine' no questions about had we enjoyed our stay, safe trip home - nothing.

I would like to point out that there were some wonderful members of staff MAR, ANA, DELAGO, PABLO and a man from the gym who i think was in charge of entertainment but on the whole the food, bad staff and lack of feeling like a valued customer spoilt it. Did not feel like 5* and so I would not recommend you book this as we were left disappointed!

For me this was a re-book due to a COVID-cancelled holiday earlier in 2020. Booked 2 weeks half board mid December - price was expensive, I did realise tho that you're getting what you pay for....

Arrival was ok, but could have been improved if the hotel had mentioned we could send the PCR test result in advance - spent 30 mins trying to email the thing unsuccessfully but sorted in the end - thank you to the lovely reception staff who were very patient. Temperature check and clear instructions given for the hotel stay (sanitisers, plastic disposable gloves at mealtimes and masks when not seated or eating/drinking). Helpful bellboy bless him i only had hand luggage so he didnt get a tip (this time).

I received an upgraded Premium seaview room - thank you so much it was beautiful! Room was spacious, spotless and had the most amazing seaview with sheltered walls to keep out the wind - was haven to have a tea/coffee/vino in.

Room had 43in LCD TV (with 4 UK Channels - BBC1, BBC2, ITV and C4), a kettle, coffee/tea supplies, fridge and hairdryer all supplied. Huge (i mean - huge) double bed (2 singles locked together but you couldnt feel the join). Linen was great quality cotton, very cool and luxurious and changed daily.

Bathroom had both rainforest and hand directed shower heads, dressing robes, slippers, pool towels changed when you needed them. Oddly, toilet had no toilet brush, i'm guessing due to COVID restrictions, so be aware of this :)

Safe provided in room free of charge (large enough to fit a 15in laptop). Airconditioning wasnt the best to be honest, it barely changed the temperature - ensure that your curtains are closed to keep out the heat.

Breakfast was a HUGE selection of fresh and standard offerings - too many items to mention - however i would say that people are correct that some of the food is definitely on the lukewarm side - there is a microwave at one end of the buffet - recommend if you like your food hot you find it and make use of it.

Dinner was my highlight - every night at least one roast meat, many vegetables and side dishes - all tastes and diets catered for. Waiter service on drinks (beware that water is charged for). I have to say the wait staff are wonderful, continuously cheery, patient and always a ready greeting.

Entertainment was mostly virtual DJ and singer every night - tho highlight was on Christmas Night a choir in the centre of the atrium was a beautiful touch - very classy.

One improvement - i only found out at the end of my stay that you can purchase pre-paid vouchers in blocks of €100 and receive an extra €25 free of charge. No one mentioned this and had I known, i would have taken advantage of this early on in my stay and benefited from this as I was on a PAYG on drinks/sandwiches etc. Please ensure your guests are made aware of this.

Overall a very classy and stylish hotel with great service. I would say tho that the hotel needs to pay attention to the upgrades which will soon become necessary (others have mentioned chipped pathways, hallways etc) which is why i have awarded 4 stars - fix up these and ensure they're maintained and its 5* all the way!

Will definitely be back!

Overall a very good hotel.

We stayed for Christmas week and were very impressed with the hotel and it’s staff.

The ladies and gents serving in the restaurants and bars are superb alongside an excellent reception and housekeeping team. The hotel is immaculately clean, complying with all Covid regulations and we felt very safe at all times. Hand sanitiser was available everywhere and gloves are to be worn in the buffet restaurant to serve yourself.

Our room was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean with “disinfected” stickers on the tv control and telephone. We were very thankful to be upgraded to a sea view and what a stunning view it was. It was a real pleasure listening to and looking at the ocean from our balcony.

We stayed on an All Inclusive basis. Drinks at the bars were served quickly, accurately and were delicious.

Breakfast was a full selection of everything you could think of including omelettes cooked fresh to order, sweet and savoury options and free flowing Cava.

Lunch you could choose buffet or order from the pool bar off the menu of hamburger/sandwiches/salads etc. We chose the latter most days as it ensured our food was fresh and hot.

Dinner again was buffet. My only issue was the temperature of the food at the buffets which was luke warm at best but mostly cold. Such a shame as the taste of most items was very good. Especially the carved meats served at dinner.

We had one a la carte meal included at the Level restaurant and this was excellent.

The only other negative I have is that the beautiful pool is not heated. I can’t imagine this is an issue most of the year but in December it was too cold to swim. Something we definitely missed.

As others have mentioned some areas of the hotel are worn down. Chipped tiles and worn out carpets in the communal areas but these are easy fixes and do not detract from the stunning beauty of this hotel.

The hotel had arranged a piano player at each food service on Christmas Day in the restaurant. He played beautifully and it was a real treat to listen to his music. It really did make the day special. There was also a wonderful evening show with fantastic vocalists.

All communications I’ve had via email with hotel before, during and after our stay have been excellently dealt with and in a timely manner. Customer service is clearly their top priority.
