BlueBay Lanzarote

BlueBay Lanzarote is a family-friendly hotel in Costa Teguise, a popular resort area on the western coast of Lanzarote. The hotel is within walking distance of a stretch of sandy beach and a short walk from the resort centre. Set within tree-lined gardens, the hotel has a central outside pool area with a main swimming pool and a separate pool for the kids. There's a surrounding sun terrace where you can relax with a drink from the hotel's pool bar. While the children are being entertained in the kids' club, you could head over to the gym for a workout, or join in one of the fitness classes which include aerobics and aqua aerobics. You can also have a game of football, table tennis or darts. If you want to spend your days on the beach, El Ancla beach is a short walk from the hotel where you can relax with views of the Atlantic Ocean. The calm and shallow waters make it suitable for children. For evening entertainment, BlueBay Lanzarote hosts live shows suitable for the whole family, and children also have the choice of joining the kids' disco. Two of the hotel's bars are open late into the evening and both serve a selection of drinks and snacks.

BlueBay Lanzarote is 1.5km from the town centre of Costa Teguise and a 2km walk from El Ancla beach. If you wander into Costa Teguise, you'll find plenty of bars, cafÈs and restaurants, plus shops to buy souvenirs. For a day out with the kids, there's a water park a short walk from the hotel with pools, slides and entertainment suitable for the whole family. You can also take a day trip to Timanfaya National Park on the western side of the island, with views of the island's volcanic landscape. If you're a golf enthusiast, Lanzarote Golf Resort is an 18-hole course, 13km from the hotel.

The hotel has a buffet restaurant which offers a range of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner and hosts theme nights offering a variety of international cuisine. The three bars at the hotel serve a selection of international drinks and the pool bar also serves snacks such as sandwiches, burgers, salads and ice cream.

To keep active, take to the multi-sports court, have a game of football or join in with a fitness class. The hotel runs a kids' club that organises daily entertainment for children aged 4-12. There's also a playroom and an outdoor playground.

Each room at BlueBay Lanzarote has a kitchenette with a fridge-freezer and an inside dining area, as well as a balcony or terrace, Wi-Fi and air conditioning.

We stayed last week in July, great hotel good choices of food available at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very clean all guests temperatures checked and hand sanitizer before entering restaurant, food also behind glass. Room was good clean and well decorated. Staff doing their very best through a very difficult time for the tourist Industry. Entertainment was provided throughout the day, but very limited due th Covid. We would certainly recommend this hotel.

Fab friendly hotel
Nov 2020 |

Stayed for a week just as the uk lockdown hit, wasn’t sure we’d get there or how long we would be able to stay! Lovely reasonably priced all inclusive hotel near to several restaurants and bars, short walk from the beach and resort centre. It was a strange and uncertain time for all the staff but they were amazing, helpful, friendly and always in good spirits, despite heading for further lockdown restrictions. Food was lovely for the most part, Breakfast in particular was good but due to the hotel closing down as we left they were running out of stuff but that was to be expected- they did their best!! It’s reasonable enough price to be able to eat out a few times on a night so we didn’t mind. Lovely pool area. Nice restaurant and good sized rooms - we stayed in a one bedroomed apartment with kitchen - a bonus for an all inclusive!! We never had a problem with ants or insects as others have stated - the rooms were clean and modern with a decent balcony with a sea view. TV reception bit rubbish!! It’s a 3 star hotel at a 3 star price ... if you want 5 star service then up your budget but if you are happy with a decent clean hotel with good food and friendly helpful staff you won’t go far wrong here! Monica’s bar round the corner is a lovely place for a beer or cocktail and shows football. Hammys a few minutes away is a lovely restaurant as is Sausalito if you fancy eating out. All in all a fab place for a late winter break - not sure we’d stay in the height of summer and do expect some rowdy guests as it’s cheap and cheerful with free flowing beer...,only added to our entertainment but could be annoying at times!!! 😜

Quick get away.

We booked on the quick to get a much needed holiday. Bluebay was the cheapest all inclusive offered. The hotel was great. Room was fine and was as expected from the photos. We had a great view across the sea (room A206). Hairdryer in bathroom was the best I've ever experienced. Yes you get a bit of discoloured water sometimes but soon runs clear, we have experienced this in other hotels also. Bedding was clean and comfortable. The sofa wasn't the greatest but we weren't there to spend time in our room, and if we were it was sat on the balcony. Hotel staff throughout were friendly and helpful, massive thumbs up to them. All inclusive food was great with lots to choose from. Temperatures checked and hands sanitized on entry, then shown to our seats. Pool area was clean, socially distanced sunloungers and plenty of them. Animation team turned up after a couple of days, and seemed to do a great job. We had nothing to complain about for the price and circumstances we are currently facing. The hotel had only reopened the day before we arrived and they did a fantastic job. Well done Bluebay. Keep up the good work. I would consider visiting again.
