Beatriz Costa & Spa is a family-friendly hotel in Costa Teguise, a popular beach resort on the eastern coast of the Spanish island of Lanzarote. A long stretch of sandy beach and the main resort centre of Costa Teguise are both a short walk from the hotel. Set within palm-tree lined gardens, the hotel has a central outdoor pool area with two main pools and a separate kids' pool. There's a surrounding sun terrace where you can relax with a drink from the pool bar and make use of the hotel's Wi-Fi. During the day, you can join in one of the fitness classes, including aerobics and aqua aerobics, or have a game of tennis on the hotel's court. While the children are being entertained in the hotel-run kids' club, you can head over to the gym for a workout, or you can unwind in the spa's sauna and massage rooms. Every evening, the hotel hosts live shows suitable for the whole family, while the children also have the chance to enjoy the kids' disco. The hotel's lobby bar is open until late into the evening, serving a selection of drinks. If you want to venture outside Beatriz Costa & Spa, there are several bars within walking distance.
The centre of Costa Teguise is 1km from the hotel. Here you'll find lots of restaurants and cafÈs, as well as several shops to browse for souvenirs. If you want to spend your days on the beach, Las Cucharas Beach is a 900m walk from Beatriz Costa & Spa. This crescent-shaped stretch of sand has views out across the Atlantic Ocean. The shallow waters make it family-friendly, and there are restaurants, cafÈs and bars lining the beach promenade where you can sit and enjoy some lunch. For the kids, there's a water park a short drive away with pools and slides.
The hotel has three bars including a pool and lobby bar, each serving drinks and snacks throughout the day and evening. There's a buffet restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. Outside the hotel, you'll find plenty of bars and restaurants where you can enjoy local specialities, as well as international drinks and cuisine.
Activities to keep you entertained during the day include basketball, boules and mini golf. You can also play table tennis, football, darts and pool.
The rooms at Beatriz Costa & Spa are bright and open, with either a balcony or terrace. They all have Wi-Fi and air conditioning.

My family with friends spend lovely time at Beatrize Hotel two years ago We all had great time Staff very friendly, great entertainment and lovely food.
We all agreed that there's best place to go again so we booked this year holiday during the Ester time. Unfortunately for all of us the global lockdown happened and all holiday was postponed or cancelled.
But I'm still looking forward to visit Beatrize next year as we had amazing time
Finger crossed that all will get back to new normal.
Best of luck
Like Dave55Uk we arrive at the Beatriz on 12th March, although in our case for a shorter stay, and agree entirely with his description of events and comments.
Under the most trying circumstances this fantastic hotel did a wonderful job caring for its guests and staying open under all of them were able to return home. We know that as we were the last guests to leave, and on our last night were the only guests in the hotel! It was a surreal experience, but right up to our departure we received the most excellent care and service from the few remaining staff.
Our thoughts will be with them through the difficult days ahead until the pandemic is behind us and normal life is restored, when we look forward to returning to enjoy the many delights that the Beatriz has to offer.
We arrived Thursday March 12th looking forward to our extended holiday. Until Saturday all was lovely and then Spain declared a State of Alert.
All pools, bars, restaurants had to shut. People had to follow strict guidelines on where, how and when they could do things. Police were turning back anyone who went out as a couple or family. Our trip back to the airport on March 21 was our first time out of the hotel in a week. Thankfully it’s a big hotel with even bigger grounds.
The hotel staff were incredible and they stayed professional and cheered us up despite worries for their own future and some had family stranded elsewhere. We were always safe , fed and watered. They even found toilet rolls. Towards the end with only 50 guests left, the managers "went back to the floor" so the staff could all go home. True leadership. On our last night there were 16 for dinner. Best meal I have ever had in the Beatriz. Normally they have to cater for 600-800!!
Thank you Thank you.
Just think of the challenge they had. Governments (National and Local) were issuing new or “clarifying” edicts every day and the management had to interpret and apply them with negligible notice. They had to cope with nervous, upset and confused guests. Including us as we heard nothing from and could not contact easyjet so were worried about getting home (not the virus because the incidence on the island was minimal).
A small gang of Brits formed with an agreement to meet back in the Beatriz when we can as "the lockdown club" and laugh at tourists who whine about trivial rubbish like missing tiles in the Spa, cold pool or the chips. It was very sad being the last but one couple out of the Beatriz and seeing the place deserted. We hope they will soon be back in operation and that their regular guests can return. We wish all the staff well in the troubling medical and financial times ahead.
Arantxa We love you.
