We arrived to find the spa had shut due to Covid19. The next day we managed to go out for a brief walk before the Canaries entered lockdown as with the rest of Spain. The hotel was lovely, the room was probably the nicest we have ever stayed in with lovely panoramic views of the sea. There were also lovely views of the beach we couldn't sit on and potentially lovely walks we couldnt go on! Of course non of this was the hotels fault. I can't comment on facilities like the spa as we never got to use them but the rooms were excellent and the staff very professional and helpful. Food in the buffet was high quality most of the time - it was a bit basic in the last two days but these were exceptional circumstances.
There is no external pool and limited sun beds outside - and these are on a narrow terrace so not to everyones taste. So if you like being outside in the sun by the pool this isn't the hotel for you. When the beach is open it would literally be a minute to walk there.
Myself and my girlfriend both said we would like to return in happier times as we flew all the way to Lanzarote and saw none of the island.
Thank you to the staff who remained remarkably friendly and professional under what must have been very stressful and uncertain times for them. Stay safe 😁
We were really happy with this hotel, the staff were extremely friendly , super helpful and made us feel very much at home.
The daily buffet was incredible with everything and more that you could want and the sky bar and restaurant with the views were sensational.
We will definitely return here
Hotel was lovely. Excellent if you are gluten-free/dairy-free as all food in buffet labelled and fresh meat or fish cooked to order every day. Great views from restaurant too.
There’s a public beach next door, which wasn’t super busy all the time we were there. Parasol & 2 loungers cost €8.
Arrecife was lovely, generally. It was not super busy. And again found several nearby restaurants/bars offering gluten-free options including burger in a bun (more like a flat bread, but I really liked it) pizza & pasta.
My only dislike was lack of balcony for drying towels & swimming stuff. Had there been a “virus” lockdown, that would have been horrible having no outdoor space in your room. Not usually an issue though!!
