Liked:
The staff. Some of the staff are amazing, like the whole restaurant team including the chefs, super friendly and very very helpful. The reception staff were also very welcoming and helpful too.- The food. It was a fair selection of meat, fish and vegetables. I particularly liked the fruits and salads.
Disliked:
The staff. the guest relations lady was the most unprofessional and unwelcoming person I’ve ever come across in the hospitality industry. She is clearly unfit for working with guests. She has been all around solo male tourists and had no traction with female tourists. There is an issue that’s worth investigating further if you want to have your guests attended to at all. She was also able to approach kids. At best, she is a good kids animator and, by no means, she is able to work with adults. Very poor and disappointing to experience on this front.- The housekeeping services was nothing but changing the towels. I’ve stayed at the hotel for over 2 weeks and my room was full of sand. I don’t think housekeeping have hoovered my room even once. The bedsheets were never changed either. I change my bedsheets every week at home and would expect housekeeping at the hotel to change it at least once a week. A normal standard for 4-5 star hotels is for the bedsheets to be changed every 2 or 4 days.
We visited this hotel for 12 nights from the 12th - 24th December 2020. Overwall this is a good hotel and we had a fantastic time at the resort.
The good:
Hotel is very clean and people on the whole stuck to the Covid-19 guidelines
The gardens and outside areas are lovely
Swimming pool is slightly heated which made it possible for us to take a dip
Staff are fantastic and really friendly.
Entertainment team was good under the current circumstances
Drinks are great including the cocktails
It's in a good location, close to the beach and the Irish centre
The food that was available was nice (more on that below)
The bad:
The choice of food. There we at times a few odd options on the food available. Again this may due to Covid-19 but I wish there was more hot food choices
Some of the hotel and the rooms are a bit run down and could do with a refresh
Entertainment could have been better even in with the current situation
I would say its more of a 3* hotel so depending on the price I would consider your options. We got this hotel for a really good price and really enjoyed our stay :)
Very nice hotel, with big, light rooms and good sized balconies. The pool is big enough for lengths and the staff is multilingual, professional and friendly. The breakfast is excellent. So all in all: I recommend this hotel.
