This hotel is a very good hotel and in this strange time the staff are doing a terrific job. The check-in was fast and friendly, we hired the pool towels at €10 returned deposit. The room is large with comfortable beds and a good sized bathroom, walk-in shower and shower gel. We were very lucky to get room 1404 (top floor) looking over the reception, sea views and a quiet street. The breakfast is very good and the chef does a great job, making omelettes to order as well as cooking fried eggs to perfection, but never a long wait, bacon, beans etc. are good too. We were all inclusive, lunches were very good and dinner most nights, almost always something tasty. The only problem for us was the fact that a few guests walked around the restaurant and other areas with either no mask or a mask over their chin. We actually pointed this out to some of the offenders, some were quite rude. We brought this up to a few staff, who agreed with us. It would not be difficult for management to be more strict on this issue, keeping their staff and customers more safe. I did observe management flouting the mask ruling at times. There is some entertainment, karaoke, Bingo, a singer, which was ok. The bar and restaurant staff were ALL very efficient and courteous. The pool is a nice temperature and there are quieter areas to lounge. The rooms were cleaned every other day which was actually ok for us. This is a 4 star hotel, but it is not fancy, however I would likely return and would recommend.
This is a nice hotel that ticks a few boxes but falls a little short i some areas.
The staff were really good, very attentive and (apart from one in breakfast) very helpful. The hotel was very clean in most areas but bedroom floor was probably in need of a thorough clean.
The downsides are the limited all inclusive menus for drinks, slight repetition on food offerings, no significnant snack oferings between meals etc.
In our rrom the beds were a little hard and the shower was dramatic in terms of were it sprayed.
However, all things considered and for the price you'll pay this is not a bad choice of hotel
First of all I want to say that if this was normal times, I’d be writing a good review on this hotel as the staff are really friendly and welcoming & it offers everything you need but what lets it down is the severely relaxed COVID measures.
I booked the hotel based on the reviews on here but the reality is that apart from arrows on floors & hand sanitiser at every food and drink station, there is no monitoring of either being used by guests
I also didn’t see any bread individually wrapped and this was in baskets for everyone to touch, only hot food (meat/egg/fish) was served by the chef but everything else was self service which during a pandemic is just beyond stupid
Given these concerns, I addressed this with the hotel manager who shared my concerns and said that these would be reviewed but nothing changed and I still witnessed people ignoring the measures that were in place. I suggested the staff ask people to use hand sanitiser & social distance & serve the food in portions rather than let everyone crowd round the buffet areas, we are used to being asked to use hand sanitiser when entering shops, bars & restaurants in the UK so it’s no big deal but nothing changed. Everyone crowded round food & drink areas and used the same drinks machines, food tongs etc it was carnage and you’d think that given nobody had had COVID tests at this point that they’d be a little more careful but nobody cared & the only thing I could do was stay away from anyone wherever I could & stay in my room when it got crowded in areas at night..
In the end, I’d given up eating in the restaurant altogether as it just wasn’t worth the risk
I’d recommend this hotel after the pandemic but not at the moment when people are tired of following the rules & only care about having fun on holiday
Only other thing I’d like to mention is that if you are vegetarian and don’t eat eggs or fish then you’ll be left with the options of salad, chips, plain pasta, potatoes or pizza for the duration of your holiday as it’s very typical of Spain and ever rice, pasta & many of the salad dishes end up with tuna, chicken, eggs or ham in them. It’s like they don’t believe it’s a meal unless they put these items in the dish. I don’t really understand why when they offer so much choice of foods but on a plus side if you like alcohol then there is loads of choice & you can have cocktails & shots offered by the entertainment staff by the pool. I don’t drink alcohol anymore but I thought this was a great idea & I hadn’t seen this anywhere before.
The rooms are also clean, large & have all you need & get cleaned every second day but again, just a shame there was FOR SHOW COVID measures.
The hotel is handy for the beach & other amenities although a lot of places were closed down due to COVID but a few restaurants nearby were open
I was allowed to keep my room for an extra 30 minutes with no extra charge which was really sweet of the hotel manager.
I hope more is done to encourage the safety of guests & staff at these difficult times as we are all in this together.
