Canary Islands Gran Canaria Meloneras
4887 reviews

H10 Playa Meloneras Palace is set in a quiet, out-of-town location in Meloneras on the southern tip of Gran Canaria, but within reach of the busier resorts of Maspalomas and Playa del Ingle's. The hotel sits just above a sandy beach, a short stroll away, and also provides shuttles to the beach in neighboring Maspalomas several times a day. Within the hotel grounds, there are three outdoor swimming pools, including an infinity pool with views over the Atlantic Ocean. To further relax, you can book yourself in for a massage in the hotel's spa or unwind in the sauna. There's also a heated indoor pool and a whirlpool in the spa area. For a more active holiday, you can work up a sweat in the gym or try your hand at tennis, table tennis or pool. There's a bus stop within walking distance of H10 Playa Meloneras Palace, where you can catch routes running up and down the coast, including into neighboring Maspalomas and the larger resort of Playa del Ingle's. There are theme parks, water parks and an 18-hole golf course in the surrounding area, as well as a stretch of sand dunes and beaches to explore along the coast.

The hotel is 150m from sandy Playa de Meloneras, which is lined with beach bars and restaurants. For a change of scene, you could hop on the hotel shuttle to Maspalomas Beach or, if you feel like stretching your legs, stroll along the pedestrianised promenade that connects the two beaches. The popular shopping center of El Varadero is 1.3km from the hotel, between Meloneras and Maspalomas. There, you can pick up gifts and souvenirs or browse the designer clothes, perfume and jewellery. For more shopping and spots to eat and drink, you could head into the center of Maspalomas or to bustling Playa del Ingle's, about 4.5km away.

A buffet is available at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and includes non-alcoholic drinks and local beer and wine. You can grab a late breakfast, light lunch or afternoon snack from one of the two pool bars. You can also get smaller snacks and drinks throughout the night. The hotel has an A la carte restaurant where you can book a table.

The hotel runs daily activities, including a kids' club. Younger children can splash around in the separate kids' pool, while older ones can play table tennis.

Transfer to the beach in Maspalomas several times a day, free of charge.

Rooms at H10 Playa Meloneras Palace have Wi-Fi, satellite TV, air conditioning and a minibar. They also all have a balcony or terrace.

Another honest review!

Right let’s start by saying I booked this hotel on their own website and I payed 125e PER NIGHT extra for the privilege package this included to eat in the gaudi restaurant every night (the most expensive bonus), a bigger tv in the room 47”, a sunbed (exactly same as others) but facing the golf course! And you can have a drink in the reception area, I paid also for minibar in room and the privilege area downstairs we’re you can help yourself to spirits and use computers free ect! Sounds great eh? NO, the minibar they stopped due to Covid which I do not understand, the privilege area was closed due to Covid and the gaudi restaurant was closed half way through our stay due to laying staff off, we had a note posted through the door with no refund or nothing so all I got for my 800+ euros for the week was to jump the que at dinner and to look at a golf course as I bathed!! If I wanted to view a golf course whilst sunbathing I’d of booked 19 holes for half the price, I complained to management but was shunned to come back next day and speak to manager! Came back surprise no manager, staff in spa totally ignorant and most staff had attitudes, I am by far no moaner and we did enjoy our stay here but when you are paying 300+ euros a night I expect top quality service 100% and h10 did not provide, why wasn’t I offered a refund for services I had purchased and were taken away half way through holiday? Anyway what we did see of the gaudi restaurant the food was actually really nice we were impressed and happy we had got the privilege, food in the buffet menu was scarce most things were identical every single sitting bar a few dishes got boring after 2 visits, not 1 English person in hotel and goes mental with Spanish at weekends, entertainment was pathetic 40 min show on a night and that was it, most shows were full Spanish language same as pool athletics and everything else, they were only 2 people that were really nice to us and they worked in the gaudi restaurant, they got tips every time we visited but unfortunately them two girls have now lost there jobs (one with 3 kids) I know we are in bad times but you do not take a service away that has been paid for, hotel is in need of repair rooms tatty and lift buttons on 7th floor had bare wires hanging out I had to push them back in so nobody ended up dead! Anyway this would of been 4 stars but I just think we had our pants pulled down and you were lucky to get 2 I will give this hotel one last chance though to redeem there selves as I know they are reading this, I want a partial refund for the privilege I paid for refunding to my card booking name was mr Dickson I will update all readers on my girlfriends review which will be posted on here as soon as I receive my refund, you have my email address and card details h10 so I look forward to hearing your response regards!!!!

Relax Holiday
Aug 2020 |

We were there for 6 nights and we had a great time .. Hotel have a very unique architecture. Love the Infinity pool. Pool bar is very nice to have a drink and see the Sunset .. friendly Staffs. Housekeeping did. a good job ..

I have a bit issue with the Sun beds reservation for the people who bring the dogs with. Almost everyday they make reservation but I hardly saw them. They came to put their towels and left for whole day and came back in the evening and they were 5 or 6 of them . Some guests wanted to have a place and didn’t get it because the beds were not enough and hotel shouldn’t not take reservation for them at the infinity pool area where is the adults recommended area because it should be quiet place . Hotel should take reservation for them only for the main pool where have enough seats and less quiet . Dogs did bark !!!

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would be coming back again.

Amazing structure but
Aug 2020 |

this is a stunning hotel to look at from the outside but once inside you then realise just how much the hotel and rooms really need an upgrade and update as from the moment of entering the hotel you could see the cracks on entering the room the curtain was hanging of the rail and remained that way for the duration of the holiday the hotel safe had a mind of its own and as for the bathroom dustbin its a shame and how can they keep forgetting to leave towels

the main restaurant was more of a canteen than what i had hoped to be a 5 star experience very dissapointed the first night i asked the resto captain for salt and pepper to which he replied ok but next time you want something speak to a waiter service for tea/coffee in the morning was on average a 15 minute wait while the staff just ignored the clients and the hand gel stations were always running out or just not working

everything in the hotel is now done by using a QR code which u have to down load but this enables you to reserve the restaurants spa gym etc when you can work out how to do it it must be a nightmare for the older clients

but but and but the saving grace for this hotel has to be the Gaudi and brasserie restaurants WOW service and the food is probably the best i have had in any hotel and a very big thank you to Samera/Africa/Marta for the impeccable service they delivered every evening

the location of the hotel is perfect for those who enjoy long walks and sunsets

would i go back maybe yes but only after a major update
