Royal Suite Hotel is an All Inclusive hotel in the south of Fuerteventura, the second largest of Spain's Canary Islands. A short walk away from the hotel you'll find the sandy Sotavento Beach, which forms a series of shallow lagoons at low tide. At the heart of the hotel is the outdoor pool area, where you can take a dip in the main swimming pool while the children splash in the kids' pool and have fun on the water slide. The hotel also has an indoor pool, which is heated during the winter months, or you can soak in the whirlpool. On the sun terrace, there's a pool bar that's open throughout the day and serves local alcohol, soft drinks and cocktails. In the evening you can watch the sun go down with a drink in the lobby bar. There are two restaurants to choose from; one buffet and one ‡ la carte. Activities on offer at the hotel include aerobics, aquaerobics, yoga, Pilates, basketball, boules, tennis and table tennis. There's also a gym where you can work out. For some downtime, you can book a massage or relax in the sauna. The hotel hosts entertainment six nights a week, which usually includes live shows, music and karaoke.
Sotavento Beach is 900m from Royal Suite, and stretches for about 9km. The coastline here is very green, and you'll find restaurants, cafes and bars dotted along the whole length. The centre of Costa Calma is 2km away. On Sundays, the resort hosts a popular morning market where you can pick up souvenirs. Costa Calma is on the edge of JandÌa Natural Park, which dominates the southern tip of the island. It's a mainly mountainous area of volcanic origin that's bordered by white-sand beaches. You can hike on the many trails and spot varied species of birds along the way.
The buffet restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and provides international food options. The a la carte restaurant is open in the evening. Water, soft drinks and local beer and wine are served in both restaurants. Tea and coffee are available all day, and snacks are offered between meals.
The hotel runs a kids' club and has a playground and playroom. Four evenings a week there's also a mini disco or karaoke for children.
All of the rooms at Royal Suite have either a balcony or terrace. Inside, you'll have a minibar, satellite TV and Wi-Fi access.

This is a reasonable hotel in a very quiet location. It was clean and tidy. The suite was good with plenty of space. The door lock was temperamental not always unlocking on the first attempt. The walkway above the bathroom meant it could be noisy when people pulled trolleys and cases along it. A minor issue noted was the room door had a gap under it through which the wind blew, as it was a sandstorm on arrival it let in lots of dust. No air conditioning but a ceiling fan. As it was not too hot that wasn’t an issue. The hotel clearly looks after the grounds and the fabric of the hotel, so it was disappointing that the “gym” was in such poor condition. Nearly all the cardio equipment was faulty in some way. Free weights were provided along with various kettlebells and medicine balls. Access was restricted by obtaining a key on deposit, 10 euros refundable on return.
The pool bar was self service for all drinks including alcohol. The hotel bar had a mixture of self service and attending bar man. There was an entertainment programme but we didn’t see much of it.
The restaurant provided buffet style meals and there was a good choice available although it did get quite repetitive. Breakfast was the best meal. We didn’t see any evidence of insect control but not many insect were seen either. The hand sanitizer was erratic and didn’t work often. Although a non smoking facility the tables on the veranda were in the smoking area which detracted from both restaurant and the pool area.
It was a 2k walk to the main shopping centres so very nice for a gentle stroll.
Stayed here for two weeks the hotel and it's grounds were spotless the staff were very polite food was basic but enjoyable.rooms are a good size and the entertainment was brilliant thoroughly recommend this hotel
We stayed in the hotel over the new year break, and could not fault either the hotel or the staff as they gave a welcomed, and perfect break. The food was excellent, and you could not have any complaints about anything
