We stayed in Oasis Duna for 1 week at the end of October(family of 2 adults and 2 kids). It's definitely hotel for Families!!! Perfect location, close to all restaurants and shops, only 5 min drive to Dunas de Corralejo.
All restaurants, pub, evening entertainment has been close in hotel due to Covid 19 but our holiday was last minute so we were expecting that. There was so day activities for kids and music play by the pool.
Hotel grounds are amazing, hundreds of tropical palm trees(very exotic) 4 swimming pool(one with slides for kids). Hotel It may be a bit of old fashion but for a price we paid it was excellent. All rooms has a kitchen and dining table so perfect if you want prepare your own meals. We have wonderful time and our kids spend all day by the pool playing with other kids. I will highly recommend this hotel. Couldn't choose a better one in Fuerteventura.
We arrived here on 2nd Nov after looking and reading all reviews.
When we arrived it seemed ok a little quiet but just thought it was due to everything going on.
We went to our apartment and it was smelly, old fashioned. The balcony was round the back facing a road.
We went to pool side and found 1 pool drained,we got talking to another lady and was told there was nothing on, no shops, no entertainment, the only bar that was open was pool bar but closed at 7pm.
We thought it strange so went to reception and checked it out and was told that everything is stopped as it's very quiet. Was not happy.as we was using it as a base thought we would manage, then we was told we had to use trademans entrance to enter and leave the place. On Wednesday they drained the other pool. Then on Thursday( my birthday) we was told from another resident that the place was closing down that day so we checked with reception and they agreed it was closing I explained we had not been told anything and asked what was we to do the reception said we can stay and have no service I said we have had nothing since we arrived and she agreed it was not right but said we had to arrange to stay somewhere else ourselves this place was a very big mistake from start to finish
I would never go there again and never reccomend it to anyone else.
So as a family of 2 adults and 4 kids it was hard to find something kid friendly and where we could all be in the same room during ‘these covid times’. After taking into consideration the reviews we decided to try this hotel for a few days break, however after seeing comments about it being worth paying for an upgrade we did. Unfortunately even the ‘superior’ rooms were not really up to standard, looking worn and with dirty walls. I asked reception to clarify this was correct, and he said yes.. superior rooms have been upgraded 5/6 years ago... ‘superior plus’ rooms are those that have been upgraded in the last year. They were however spacious with enough bedding/towels etc...
Although it’s by no means the worse room we’ve seen, It was a bit frustrating as I’d paid the extra, however the rest of the hotel/stay was pleasant. Mauro and rest of the dining room staff were really friendly, as were the Animation team.. great with the kids at kids club and mini disco. All the pools were open and the pool slides working, the outdoor park area was closed due to the current situation which is understandable. Only other ‘rules’ was the use of masks when walking around and use of hand santizer in and out of restaurants etc....
All in all we, and more importantly the kids, Had a great time which we were worried about at these times.
