The whitewashed, low-rise buildings of Arena Beach are grouped around the hotel's pools and sun terraces. You can order a drink or a snack from the poolside bar, and find a spot on the terrace, perhaps under the shade of a palm tree. There are four swimming pools at Arena Beach, including one that's heated, and a small splash pool for children. The hotel has a gym and a spa. There you'll find a whirlpool and sauna, and you can book a massage or beauty treatment. The hotel puts on evening entertainment, and there's also children's entertainment in the summer. You can also play a game of pool and table tennis. There's a buffet restaurant that holds themed evenings, and a lobby bar with sofas and marble dÈcor. The hotel is a short walk from the beach and the resort centre at Corralejo. You can stroll around its old town, and look out for seafood restaurants, or simply relax on its long, sandy beach. If you want to visit Fuerteventura's other resorts and attractions, you can hire a car through the reception at Arena Beach. As the second largest Canary Island, Fuerteventura has 150km of beaches, as well as its volcanic central areas, so there's plenty to explore.
Corralejo, with its famous sweep of sand dunes, is 2km from Arena Beach and has a choice of places to shop, eat and drink. You can catch a ferry from here to Los Lobos island in the bay, or even across to the neighbouring Canary Island of Lanzarote. Puerto del Rosario, the island's capital and main port, is 35km away. It has various shopping streets and malls, including the popular Las Rotondas shopping centre. Surfers can head north round the coast from Corralejo to Majanicho, while golfers will be pleased to know that the Mirador de Lobos course is a short drive from the resort.
The buffet restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a range of international cuisine. There's outdoor seating, so you can dine al fresco. The hotel has a lobby bar and a pool bar, which also serves snacks. You can also explore the bars and tavernas near the hotel.
The hotel runs a kids' club in the summer for children aged 2-12. There's also a playground and a playroom, where they can make friends.
The apartments have a balcony or terrace. Inside, there's Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The kitchenettes have an oven, microwave and fridge, and there's an indoor dining area.

Choose your board basis
To give some perspective on the time in which we visited Arena Beach - we flew the day after the canary island travel restrictions were lifted so I suppose you argue that the hotel was somewhat unprepared for how busy it would become.
Overall we had a pleasant stay at Hotel Arena Beach. I wasn't expecting much as we normally stay 4*+ and on arrival the check in procedure was lengthy, the room was very basic & the patio door would not lock properly.
The ''unfriendly'' receptionist permitted us to move rooms without any hassle but advised we would need to go back to the reception in the morning to switch rooms again as apparently they don't allow kids to stay in a first floor room due to health & safety ( I can see the logic but as a parent travelling alone with 2 young children -ages 5 & 3 - I'm not sure she understood just how much inconvenience this would cause) Anyway, on going back to reception in the morning the more friendly receptionist permitted us to stay where we were providing I took responsibility for the risk posed by the balcony which I thought was fair.
Bad points -
- We were unable to keep our room on and the room they allowed us to use to freshen up in had been used before us & after us without being cleaned inbetween uses. This is the only downfall in regards to covid safety. I asked on more than one occasion and was guaranteed it would be cleaned inbetween uses & I can categorically tell you that this didnt happen. When we entered the room the wet towels from the previous family were just thrown in the middle of the floor & whilst we were still using the facilities the next family arrived to use the room & that meant that our towels were added to the mounting pile of wet towels.
No other bad points as such but little ''snags'' that impacted the enjoyment of the holiday that could be easily avoided
- Meal times eg, 8am-10am for breakfast & at 9:55am the waitress would come round & tell you that you had to eat up & get out of the restaurant by 10am. Usually meal times would be the time they stopped serving meals not the time you had to leave the restaurant - it seemed unnecessarily strict
- Staff not allowing the kids to play/run around (although they were completely out of the way & there was no kids disco or entertainment due to covid) It was as though they expected them to sit still in one place all evening
- The unfriendly receptionist
All in all - I would rate my stay as a 8/10 (based on the hotels star rating & overall experience) and I would definitely consider staying at other 3* hotels after visiting this one.
I'm not really one for travelling to the same place twice but I would recommend this place to friends & family but it would be nice if the ''rules'' (non covid) could be relaxed to make it even more enjoyable.
Lovely hotel. Very clean. Staff really helpful!
We were self catering and there was some things that were not provided/missing, for example, only 1 plate and 3 bowls, only 1 pan, no grill/oven tray. However, the fridge and freezer was big. The sofa bed was quite comfortable enough. The single beds were very comfy. The room was cleaned every day and nothing was too much trouble for the cleaners.
Temperature checks were completed upon booking into the hotel (COVID-19 related). Free WiFi in the hotel. we never ate in the hotel so can't comment on the food.
Overall, great hotel. Would recommend. Would stay again!
My wife and I are just back from a week in arena beach hotel. We had a fantastic week of winter sunshine in mid twenties with only one overcast day. The apartment was fantastically clean and well equipped. The food in the all inclusive was ample for the price plenty of variety on offer and tasty. There was again good variety behind the bar beers, wine, spirits, soft drinks and tea and coffee. Jordi behind the bar was excellent, always working hard with a smile on his face and singing along to the music. The entertainment was quite basic, but this may be because of time of year and covid but what entertainment their was, was very enjoyable quiz, kareoke and bingo among a few. Good amenities near by with town centre a 15 min walk or 10 of you walked briskly. Lots of beautiful beaches with clear sea and golden Sands. All in all fantastic stay and highly recommend.
