Not bad service, not the best, but ok. Good location transport-wise, but sketchy area, although apparently safe by day. The real bad point is the lack of cleanliness: the room is poorly cleaned, garbage and lots of dust under the bed, table with electrical outlet splashed with some kind of drinks, bathroom walls with stains, and some fluff, with hair in the shower. One day entered around 3pm, the lift had been spited on, with trash on the floor... next day morning, lift exactly the same, with even more garbage on the floor
The hotel itself is great but when booking a room with breakfast you expect an Ibis breakfast. Before Corona times breakfast was really lovely here, but now it's a shame! Ok, the hotel has to follow government rules concerning safety and health, but I think they really don't understand that breakfast is an important part of the "stay".
Last week I was in Ibis Amsterdam (central station) and they also have to follow Corona rules, but there the breakfast was perfect!
Here you get just a small bag with a croissant, a mini chocolate bread, and a bun, accompanied with a very tiny piece of camembert cheese. A yogurt and a can of orange juice and apple. That's it. (See photo).
I was really disappointed because for me breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
Although all cafe's are open in Brussels, the bar/cafe in the hotel is closed, no idea why. So no evening drink possible. And it's not the best neighborhood to walk around there at late evening.
Can’t fault it. Stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it, nice spacious rooms, great choice of food at breakfast, easy check in and check out and overall a clean, friendly place!
Perfect location with a 2 minute walk to the Brussels Midi station, with a 3 minute train to the City Centre.
