For anyone who wants a holiday with peace and quiet, good food, pleasant staff and atmosphere, then the Playa Azul is the ideal choice .This was our second visit and we were very pleased to return.we were on an all inclusive basis and situated in a bungalow with a sea view The restaurant offered a comprehensive choice of meals as did the bar with drinks and snacks,Altogether a happy and relaxing two weeks.
We were a group of six ladies. We have stayed at this little gem of a hotel twice before. The food and standard of cleanliness are amazing. How they manage to charge thd price for AI is puzzle so reasonable for choice and quality.
Unfortunately our friend broke her hip while we were here, which as you can imagine was very traumatic. The staff and the manager where so kind and helpful, in what was a difficult situation, we cannot thank them enough.
See you all again in May! Even if we have travel with our friend in a wheel chair, good old NHS 😮.
We had a lovely short break here for our second honeymoon, all inclusive.
We stayed in the hotel and had a beautiful sea view and huge balcony. The room was immaculate and modern and we had all facilities we needed.
The restaurant was small but we always had a nice meal, I was even presented with a small cake on the evening of my birthday, even though I hadn't mentioned it, I thought this was a lovely gesture.
The pool was large enough for us to find sunbeds and wasn't too crowded, and the beds were in good condition.
The bar offered plenty of choice, with a couple of additional drinks at an extra cost, such as cocktails and frappe's (which I did treat myself to a couple of times and very much enjoyed them).
There was plenty to do in the surrounding area, the beach was just down the steps (it is quite a climb coming back, but there is a little tourist train that you can use to get down there and back). There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby without it being noisy at all. There are also supermarkets nearby, just a short walk, about 5-10 minutes.
We would gladly return with our 2 boys, as there are bungalows that can sleep either 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 (young) children.
