We originally booked a different Iberostar on the East Side of the island but got moved to this 5*. I'm not normally a fan of big resort type areas but with covid there were very few people around and this was one of the few hotels open. There are hand sanitizer stations everywhere. We are a small family with a 6 year old and, as the website says it's more suitable for adults and couples, but with the beach just over the promenade my son had a fantastic time and always had plenty to eat in the fantastic restaurants. The all inclusive seemed quite expensive until you realise whats included, I've not known proper cocktails included in the few all inclusive I've had. There weren't really many outside restaurants open, there were a few though and the shopping centre had all open if you don't mind heading to just the other side of the airport.
The staff were fantastic! Reception were always friendly and approachable as was the restaurant staff. I think sometimes the chefs had trouble understanding English but I enjoyed trying to say the Spanish names and if I couldn't get the words right they were happy enough with my pointing.
The view of the sunset from the hotel room was spectacular and the rooms were always cleaned very well.
Thank you for an lovely holiday in very difficult circumstances, I really felt safe.
Had a lovely short break in this brilliant hotel . All the staff were very welcoming , and professional at all times . With all the COVID secure measures in place we felt totally safe. The large rooms were spotlessly clean and we had fantastic pool and sea views .
The varied selection in the restaurant was delicious .
Thank you to you all for making our trip so enjoyable !
We had booked at another Iberostar Hotel but due to current travel difficulties and lack of people wanting to travel we were relocated to the Playa de Palma. Any qualms about change of location were gone as soon as we arrived. The sea view from our room is fabulous and the Junior Suite gives a lovely space to relax in. The food and service in the restaurant and bar is faultless. The normal buffet format has been replaced with table service in the A La Carte Restaurant which has made our stay even more enjoyable. We are so glad we took the plunge and decided to to come as you feel very safe here - the beach and promenade is very quiet. There is a brilliant cycle route from the hotel round the coast into Palma which again is not crowded and easy to follow. If cycling is not your thing a bus into Palma goes from outside the hotel where you can wander round the City easily as so quiet and calm. The stars of the hotel are the view and the staff who can't do enough to look after you and make your stay a memorable one. So thank you to all the staff at Playa de Palma.
