It was my 2nd stay in 2020 on Mallorca (1st in this hotel) and it got already more crowded after pandemic reopen. The hotel helped me with last minute bookings, also organised last minute transfer. Suprisingly for last minute i had one of the best rooms facing see and beautiful sunrise. Downside was it was just above the theatre/stage with evening show for children every day and the pool and patio area. As such i had to use curtians all day and nite. Reception, lobby and common areas are clean and tidy, spacious. Rooms a
re quite basic, more 3 level but ok. Corridor to rooms are a bit like in hospitals... rooms are kept clean. Location is good, at the end of the town, close to supermarket (convenient as the hotel does not operate on all inclusive basis) and close to beach with nice dunes in between. Beach is accessible by a gate and not the greatest there with varied depth every step but to the left is a better one Platja Muro (nuddist) and to right towards the centre it is also better one. There are 2 bars/restaurants on the beach always crowded but affordable. More places in the centre. Given its location it is pity they dont offer AI as for snacks and even tea coffee you need to seat in the pool and wait for staff etc. As such (no good beach and no all day food and drinks) i spent all days in the town centre away from the hotel. Hotel is compliant with all the covid rules and restaurant operates with staff serving the food from counters. As guests need to stay in a few queues to get the warm dish, salad, dessert, drinks seperately. Other hotels operate by forcing hands sanitising what is more efficient. Food quality is average maybe a bit below of 4 hotels but with wide variety. Drinks for dinner at a bit too expensive. Given the entertainemnt side, a spacious pool and pool area and apartments available i would recommend for families with children.
My husband and I sayed here during our self-guided bike tour at the beginning of March.
The front lobby area is attractive with friendly and helpful staff.
We were in a very small, modestly decorated room that reminded me of a student dorm. The view was not good at all, looking over part of the lower roof and situated two floors over the restaurant. Each evening from 6 p.m. until 9 or 10 we could hear all sorts of sounds of heavy chairs scraping the restaurant floor as people got up and sat down from their dinner meals. The sound was horrible in our room, resembling the sound of people moving heavy furniture above our room.
The rooms could use more toiletries, like facial tissue and maybe even disinfectant wet wipes.
I did use the lovely indoor pool, although I was very shocked to see a German male tourist skinny dipping in that pool while I was swimming! :o I think that he would be arrested in my country if he did that in a hotel pool!
The weather was unfortunately too cold to go swimming in the pretty outdoor pools, but we did enjoy sitting around the pool area and also going for long walks along the lovely beach.
The buffet breakfast and dinner were tasty and plentiful.
All in all, an enjoyable visit, but would warn people about the restaurant chair noise.
