We visited here for a week in September 2017, for our first couples holiday abroad it was ok. There was nothing to absolutely rave about. If you want peace and quiet then there is a separate pool over the road that is secluded which was nice. The food was also pretty basic.
Lovely clean hotel, out of the way but not too far away from the beach etc, great facilities and entertainment, 4 big pools, excellent food. The staff were very professional and on the whole, cheerful. Definitely booking again as there was nothing negative about the stay at all.
I had a holiday cancelled at a different resort by Jet2 for the end of September so I rebooked with easyJet and brought it forward two weeks. I booked EIX Lagotel for 6 days on booking.com all inclusive.
I arrived and check-in was straightforward, very polite desk staff, the room was spotless as was the whole hotel. Breakfast was plentyful and the usual continental mixed with UK food. Had to leave early to collect my bike in nearby Port de Pollenca and returned that afternoon for lunch. Hotel wasn't too busy for obvious reasons but everyone felt safe and the instructions from the hotel were first class regarding social distancing and mask wearing.
Food varied every day which isn't always the case in some hotels, no queues for food or also the bars.
Pool areas and bar/snack areas were very clean and well staffed.
Now to the entertainment. I was solo but there were still plenty of families at the hotel and they were brilliantly catered for by Fabian and Lucia. The acts were also brilliant especially the Motown tribute. I'm not sure if this is the usual standard of acts or if the Lagotel had first pick as there were few other hotels open.
The beach is a 10 minute walk away or there is a free shuttle bus every 30 minutes which takes 2 minutes.
I have already said I will definitely be back next year for a longer stay and will have my wife and two boys with me as they will absolutely love this place. Can't wait to come back.
