A new return in Coronavirus times: They have done the best, 2 days later the hotel was closed!

It was July 2020 when the hotel has reopened.

Upon arrival again nobody was standing outside to pick up our luggage. This was done inside the hotel.

Check-In was normal. But none has informed us that there are no more written informations inside the rooom.

You need to scan an QR&Barcode. But there are 4-5 Scans necessary! Why is it not possible to put all in one?

Again we met the hotel Manager, Mr. Nestor Tur Ribas, who has given us an upgrade to a Suite, room 1417.

Thank you very much for this upgrade, icluding whirlpool on the terrace with wonderful outlook over the plot, pool and sea.

Of course you should apply for the use of this whirlpool to get it prepared.

To be honest we have not used it.

Inside the room in the bathroom was also a whirlpool what we have used.

The bathroom has an unknown light system. In other hotels there is switcher, but not in this room. In this room you can switch on the light with a string. This is opposite to other hotels where it is to be used for an emergency call.

In the room we also found a bottle of cold Spumante and some Petit Fours.

What again we have missed was a bottle of complimentary mineral water.

But here it is the hotel philosophy that you should pay for each bottle.

We have booked half board.

At the first evening there were only 2 other guests except us to be seen.

The offers were reduced comparing the year before.

Now you need to wear face masks and the cook will prepare it upon your wish.

What a pity that the Junior cook has problems with understanding and speaking English.

That has lead to several misunderstandings and poor results including bad preparations.

To finish the story about the buffet restaurant: Our last evening, July, 30st, the offers again were massive reduced.

For breakfast I have received sugar-milk for my coffee! After my complaint the waiter brought me milk from the coffee machine.

The taste was also more than poor.

The next morning I spoke to our perfect waitress, Marisa. She said " of course we serve sugar free milk: "Asturiana Grancreme"!

Why wasn't this served automatically?

The same experience we have had at the Pool Bar. The knowledge and quality of service is very different. From poor to good is the result!

Wine offers:

After ordering a wine in the restaurant it was out of stock. The staff always have given us wrong informations when our wine would be in stock again.

This was the same at the Pool Bar:

First it was said, that the wine is out of stock. 10 minutes later it was in stock!

We got informed that 3 days later again the hotel has closed.

Had the most amazing service and holiday here in August, for a very fair price, this hotel offers a peaceful holiday, in a central location, with spa, fitness centre, so many pool areas, right by the beach, brilliant cuisine, I could go on and on for a long time, we adored our holiday. From the start to the farwell all days were perfect and all staff made our time there an unforgettable one. For breakfast we could not pick, there were so many options that went on for days. High marks Insotel.

Fabulous hotel but a small gym, & use of the spa facilities not included

This was our second stay at this hotel which we really enjoyed, and this is my second review of it.

We booked Bed & breakfast as we like to sample the numerous bars and restaurants just a short distance away within the local area. The variety of choice & quality of the food at breakfast is outstanding. We tried lunch at the pool bar on one occasion which although very nice, was quite expensive compared to eating outisde of the hotel. The sunbeds around the attractive pool area are extremely comfortable. There is a lot to like about this hotel but it is not a cheap option. My husband and I particularly like to use the Gym & spa facilities which are normally good quality and included in a 5 star hotel such as this. For such a large hotel the gym here is quite small & it feels claustrophobic particularly if there are several other people using it at the same. Use of the indoor pool & spa facilities are only available at an extra charge which in my opinion is quite expensive. It's disappointing it's not automatically included for guests or offered at a substantially reduced price. Also on some days unfortunately our room was not cleaned quite as thoroughly as on our previous stay. Also even though they offer a pillow menu, we still found some of the pillows were not particularly comfortable to sleep with.
