having booked two rooms for 4 adults, we needed to add another adult. Jet 2 couldnt do it so we had to deal with the hotel direct. although the rooms catred for 4 people we w were told we would have to upgrade to a suite for 1,370 euros. when we arrived the normal room had a sofa bed suitable for 2 and the suite had a campbed that an adult did not fit on. When confronted the said it was because the rooms didnt cater for 3 adults yet they were able to allow it for 1370 arguing that the room with sofa bed was much more suitable they would not budge even though my daughters feet hung over the end of the camp bed. when entering restaurant no one was urged to sanitise and the variey of food was minimal and all tasted the same with a la carte servings (small) if they are charging for a 5 star hotel then it should be i have been to better 3`*
Recently returned from a 2 week all inclusive stay at the bergantin this is the 2nd and last time I will stay in an azuline hotel. 3 days in I was woken by banging when I went to the bathroom and I could hear the people next door in the bathroom using the toilet an shower. There was a service vent in the bathroom where u could see into the room next door. Every morning we were woken by people running an talking on the corridors and cleaners pulling their trolleys ,the walls must be made of paper. The cleaners didn’t change the bedding on my wives bed for 5 days , I know because the same stains were on every time we got back to the room. The bathrooms are dated and the shower was useless , it was turned to cold and very hot water kept coming out (very bad for children)
There was no fridge in the room although there was a space for 1 but u had to rent it for 50 euro.
booking.com advertised the premium room with all nice photos room 302 was quite the opposite. We went for breakfast , lunch and evening meal On the first day and the food was terrible , the only positives from this hotel were the location and the pool areas The adult pool was perfect although there was no bar area open.
I’ve stayed in at least 6 hotels in San Antonio this is by far the worst room I’ve stopped in.
This wasn't the holiday we'd planned so we didn't really know what to expect. Generally the hotel was ok. Pleasant staff doing their best in strange times.
We asked for use of the in room safe 3€ per day. Kettle was free (10€ deposit) and also requested a fridge which cost us 50€ for the duration of our stay (2 weeks).
Hotel was quiet in terms of the number of guests but there were a few younger 'party' people who were noisy and the soundproofing in the rooms wasn't great. Not much fun listening to someone next door throwing up at 4am.
Rooms are basic but clean. No doors on the wardrobe and no drawer storage at all. Small balcony with two chairs but no table.
Not being able to serve yourself in the restaurant was difficult for both staff and customers but this changed to self service in our 2nd week and it made eating there much better.
Adults only pool would have been lovely but it had been taken over by a group of young people who played their own very loud music and talked a lot about all the drugs they'd brought (and used). As no staff ever came near this pool their behaviour went unchecked (even after we raised the issue with reception) so we ended up using the main pool most of the time.
We wouldn't return but this has more to do with the resort and the type of holiday makers/party people it attracts (not a judgement, just an opinion) rather than the hotel itself.
