"Well Hilary has said it all!
Well done Arlene, Mario and all the "team",
We have been going to Hawksbill for many years and this was the best, the improvements are what the returnees, have always wanted.
The Covid precautions were excellent and we felt very safe ..... so much so we really did not want to return home...
We are hoping to return May time, rather than go to Europe...
but definetely next Christmas...
Stay safe all and keep up the good work.
with Love Lynn and Stuart.
Just returned from a perfect holiday to Antigua based at Hawksbill.
We hired a car for two weeks and having explored the island have to say that Hawksbill definitely has the best location.
It has four fantastic beaches, even one where you can bare all of you so wish!
Other great beaches are Deep bay, Ffryes (would be very busy in high season & Pinching bay, our favourite. We swam there but you need to be very experienced swimmers. You could hire a boat to drop you off otherwise.
Resort was great although buildings a little tired. We had a superior bungalow to start but moved to the beach club villa which was fab and away from the resort on its own beach which suited us perfectly.
We saw the second floor rooms too and they looked big and spacious and with a TV if you are after one.
The great house sadly needs refurbishing (we renovate houses for a living so for a free holiday we’ll do it for you Hawksbill 😉)
Food, I have read very mixed reviews on here. I have to say it was really very good. Not hugely exciting but everything we had we ate and enjoyed. I’d have loved some more Caribbean food ie curries, jerk chicken, rice & peas...
Portion sizes could be a little bigger although you can order more.
Breakfast you need to stipulate how many sausages or rashers of bacon you want.
The cinnamon toast was amazing!
Lunch menu very good. A shame the outside bbq was not in use but Covid regs etc...
Service could be slow and amusing but you need to chill out and remember this is a 3 establishment. If you are looking for fast service and haute cuisine then go 5
Christobelle is amazing though and gets things ship shape. Staff are all genuinely friendly and welcoming, there wasn’t one who let the side down.
Re Covid there are very good measures in place. We had our temperatures taken regularly which the UK could learn from!
Entertainment twice weekly was good.
It really is a lovely resort in a stunning location and we would go again in a heartbeat.
After a stressful year; and 14 changes to our honeymoon we finally made it to Antigua. We could not recommend this resort anymore. The staff are all amazing - Fenton and Errol on the bar are just plain awesome. Raz the chef and all the restaurant and cleaning staff are smiley and friendly. The resort is full of character and charm and the scenery is stunning. They have a nudist beach; which is one of the most fun feelings in the world. All the guests were also amazing and we have truly made friends for life. We had a once in a life time experience in December at this beautiful corner of the world and if you are interested in a unique and authentic experience; this is the place for you.
They have four remarkable beaches and are currently serving an a la carte style food. They are extremely close to the airport and tourist attractions. There are horse rides and jet skis available at the resort.
We loved every second but our favourite thing about it was the amazing staff. Thank you, thank you, thank you Hawksbill team. We hope to all come back in the future.
Sunsets are the most dramatic we have ever seen. Five million stars from us!
