Stayed April 1 - 5th April 1st - fire alarm went off; was told that the worker caught the microwave in the Kitchen area; outside for about an hour with fire department there Very limited towels and sheets; probably couldn't do laundry because no hot water Room 205 - didn't have a top sheet, was given a fitted sheet Reserved 18 rooms, just handed me the keys, didn't know what type of beds were in the rooms; school trip hosting 4 to a room and needed 2 queen beds in those rooms, not one king and a coach Room 117 on the 1st floor, was supposed to have 2 queen beds but had only a box spring for one of the beds; on Tuesday night, this room couldn't be opened by any key and worker tried to get it open but couldn't; teacher could not get into the room for 24 hours; begged for another room for the night with nothing; emergency maintenance should have come to fix the issue so the teacher could get in the room where her stuff was located. Had to drive back from NYC to pick up the luggage April 1st, 2nd, and part of April 3rd, did not have any hot water - must have been going on BEFORE we got there because the police were called by a family that was staying there for a few days Breakfast was fine; oatmeal was really runny; no fresh fruit like usual
Bed bugs, lies and impolite staff!
Bed bugs, lies, impolite staff and transfer madness! We booked that hotel for it’s park/stay/cruise option and for it’s Hilton good name. After a long 12 hour drive, we got to the hotel and straight to bed we went. We saw one bug, then, thought nothing of it. Then more crawled onto my leg…we saw 4 that we picked up and killed. Right away, we got dressed, and got out the room with all our luggage. We went to the front desk (around midnight). No one was there, I called and then someone picked up. We explained the situation to the person at check-in. He yelled to go away with those bugs, not wanting to see them and rushed us to throw in the garbage. Which we did after taking pictures. Following that, the clerk said the hotel was full, so no other option offered us to let us but to sleep on the pull out couch in that same bed bugs room… we decided to just go and sleep in our car at that point, asking if we could at least access showers in the morning to get ready. He agreed. He also said that our room would be refunded, to give them 3-5 working days and that we could still let our car parked there during our cruise. In the morning, we wanted to go wash up, a new person was there. We explained the situation and he confirmed the cancellation too. Then offered me towels so I could go freshen up (shower option was gone). We were directed to use the pool toilets, which did not even have hands soap. Fast forward 10 cruise days - the charge is on my Visa. Before leaving for home, we go back to the hotel with the intention of obtaining a written confirmation of that cancellation. One hour later, no cancellation in sight. Only the promise of a new manager to call me back once he gets more info on his side after being I was told they had more urgent things to do. After being lied 2 twice and dismissed once, I wrote to Hilton for a follow-up, they gave the hotel 3 days to fix this and that 3 day has passed and still nothing… this is the first time in my life that such a bad service has happened in an hotel and my first bedbug encounter. I hope they make good on their refund promise…
Complete nightmare
I never write reviews but it's my civic duty to warn others about this place. We paid $400 a night for the cruise and park package. We specifically looked for a place with a pool. As you can see by the picture, the pool was not something that we opted to go in. We were told someone would look at it. It remained scummy for the night. One of the beds in our two bedroom room was broken and squeaked loudly every time our kids moved. I mentioned it to the front desk person who said "oh yeah, that room.." Meaning they knew that it was broken. Apparently they were booked so we had no option but to stay in the room. The bathroom was rusty and had hair in the tub and the faucet leaked nonstop. We were woken up at 5am by people in the room nextdoor- which had a connecting door so basically no privacy. It seemed they were just coming home and we're drunk and very loud. So between the squeaky bed, drripping faucet and loud neighbors, no sleep was had. We were ready to get the heck out of there and to the cruise. We asked what time the shuttle was supposed to take us to the cruise ship the next day. We were told 930-10 o'clock. My husband happened to go downstairs around 8 AM and was told the cruise shuttle was leaving in 15 minutes. We frantically rushed out dragging our kids and luggage with us and got onto a very crowded shuttle. I asked how we would know when we'd be able to get the shuttle back and was told to call that morning and we would be told what time. There were roughly 75 people plus their luggage waiting for the shuttle to come pick everyone up at the terminal- with zero indication where we were supposed to wait. Two passenger vans showed up- so about 20 people were able to be picked up. The rest had to wait another half hour for the passenger vans to come back. Some people had waited two plus hours. An absolute nightmare and I hope my review has saved anyone from this horrific experience!
