Dit hotel ligt aan de Turkse Rivièra, in het hart van Kizilagac, direct tegenover het ongeveer 200 m lange schitterende strand. Op ongeveer 2,5 kilometer bevindt zich het toeristische centrum met vele winkelmogelijkheden. Enkele discotheken zijn slechts 300 meter van het hotel. De steden Manavagt en Side liggen op ongeveer 12 km, resp. 18 km afstand. Naar de luchthaven Antalya is het ongeveer 70 kilometer.Dit in 2005 geopende hotel beschikt op 6 etages over in totaal 289 wooneenheden, waarvan 214 kamers, 75 studio's en 3 kamers voor mindervaliden. Het strandhotel biedt zijn gasten een prachtige tuin, een terras, een grote ontvangsthal met liften, een hotelkluis, een wisselkantoor en een receptie die 24 uur per dag tot uw beschikking staat. Het gebouw heeft meerdere winkels, een kapper, discotheek, speelkamer, televisiekamer, een bar en een van airconditioning voorzien restaurant, waar Turkse specialiteiten worden aangeboden. Zakenreizigers kunnen gebruik maken van de voorzieningen voor vergaderingen en besprekingen. Als extra dienstverlening biedt het hotel een internetaansluiting (tegen betaling), een roomservice, wasservice en een medische dienst. Voor de kleine gasten zijn er een miniclub en een speeltuin. An honest review We arrived at the Lyra Resort and Spa Hotel at approx. 9.30 pm having been awake since 5 am we were tired. I have stayed in several different 5 star hotels in Turley and this is definitely not one of them, 3 maybe 4 at a big push. There were no seats in reception for us to complete any paperwork, we were not offered any drinks. We had booked 2 swim up rooms, one for our 36 year old daughter (this will become clear soon) and our 8 year old granddaughter and another room for ourselves, (myself and husband.) We completed all paperwork and were asked if we would consider a family room (1 bathroom, 1 bedroom, 1 sofa bed) and they would give us some gifts! We refused stating we had booked 2 swim up rooms next to each other. Due to my girls being alone I wanted them close to us but obviously no 36 year old wants to share a room with their parents for 7 nights. We were them offered 1 swim up and 1 garden view and a cabana on the beach for the day. Again we refused reiterating that we had in fact paid for two swim up rooms next to each other. The person on reception then started laughing and said the hotel was over booked and in fact they did not have 2 swim up rooms available! We obviously at this point did not find it as amusing as she did. We had booked the rooms from the layout and of course to have the swim up pool. The angry “bellboy” then took us to our rooms, he asked us to consider the first one for all four of us, with bunk beds and a double bed with one shower and toilet. It absolutely stank of cigarettes body odour and all kinds of things. We obviously refused. He them took us some distance away and showed us a room exactly as we had booked. We returned to reception to be greeted by the receptionist laughing when I told her we would not share the room with bunk beds, to again be told that the hotel was over booked and that we should accept the 2 rooms. If we were not happy to contact our agent. At this point we were all getting irate and we told her of the smells in the room she said she would sort it. My daughter and granddaughter took the bunk bed room and we took the room (swim up) some distance away. We left them in their room to go and unpack and a man entered their room with a key and sprayed air freshener then walked out! Due to the distance between our rooms and the fact that there were noisy groups around their room my husband had to check on them several times every night. My daughter slept on one night only when the group left and before another group arrived. We contacted our agent who tried all day to contact the hotel to no avail. They asked me to go to reception to ask them to call, every time I went the reception was empty or the receptionist ran and hid. On our fourth day we were contacted by the manager and asked to go to reception, this I did and she stated she had received an email from our agent. She listened to me and was actually very nice. However 4 nights in to a 7 night stay were not going to change rooms. She apologised and said she would respond to the agent (they are still waiting) We were given no information, map entertainment location etc. we had to find these ourselves... We booked the Italian a la carte (don’t bother) the food we ordered is not what eventually was put in front of us. No pasta dishes were on the menu (nothing Italian really was on the menu) it took forever for drinks and food to arrive. The chicken we didn’t eat as it was not cooked. In a 5 star hotel I expect to be greeted on entering the restaurant and for drinks to be served. This is not the case in this hotel. You will be lucky to have a clean table to sit at. The food is excellent and plenty of choice. Go outside in the evening they have lovely food on the BBQ. Beautiful steak and tuna fish. In the morning they cook different eggs. Entertainment: My granddaughter loved the nightly mini disco even though it started late 8.45. After which the entertainment was on we watched for 4 nights and for 4 nights it was acrobats and dancers (all be it different routines, under different titles.) the same thing nightly. Apparently the night we were leaving it was Turkish night. The lobby bar is self-service and is always very busy. The bar staff are really friendly, however there are not enough of them. Again I do not expect to queue for drinks in a five star hotel. Outside areas there were lots of broken slabs that were frankly dangerous, the rooms were outdated and needed total refurbishment. Don’t bother paying extra for a swim up room as people who are staying in garden view and the main hotel are up at 6 am putting towels on beds at the swim up pool. The mini bar and coffee were not replenished daily. During our 7 night stay not once were the sheets changed!! My daughter had her own towel removed from her suitcase by the cleaner, who also took the beach towel, so we had to fight to get another from the spa. You can only change your towels for an hour a day. Would I stay here again? Not a chance, would I recommend it? Definitely not. Could it be better? Yes if the staff were better trained in customer service.

Great mini break

We have just returned from a 5 day family break, we had a wonderful time, we stayed in the Lake house swim up room which was although very small for a family of 4 was ok for our short stay, we had a lovely view and we're close to all the amenities, the waterpark was great we all had a great time on the slide, the kids loved the fair at night and the arcades, staff are lovely and friendly and we got waiter service every night, big thanks to Sheymus, all the drinks are good even the wine which can sometimes not be on all inclusive, food was ok we never didn't have a choice, but a few more child friendly options in the evening wouldn't go a miss especially be as they were on at lunch at t he snack bar. Side was 15 mins away and well worth a trip out in the evening, very old and pretty town the taxi is straight at the door and picks you back up when you want for €40, the old town steakhouse is an amazing restaurant All In all ignore the bad reviews and just go and enjoy yourself like we did

We've just returned home from our holiday. Fantastic time in Turkey with the family. We found the staff so friendly, always smiling and happy to have a chat. Lyra resort is great for all ages, entertainment and disco were great fun too. Great stay all round :-)
