Dit stadshotel is gelegen in het historische centrum van Málaga, op slechts een paar meter van de populaire Larios straat en tegenover La Tribuna de los Pobres, een beroemd uitzichtpunt, waar de Tronos (drijvend) passeert tijdens de processies van de Heilige Week. Het strand ligt op slechts 500 meter van het hotel.Het hotel biedt 43 kamers en beschikt ook over een restaurant, bar, lift, airconditioning, rookkamer, conferentiefaciliteiten en internetruimte, evenals de was- en roomservice. Amazing hotel, excellent central location & near lots of bars, tapas bars and restaurants. Lovely room and an incredible breakfast: Loads of choice and very tasty food. Would love to stay there again.

Great location...right in the heart of the Old Town center. Walking distance to a lot of sights in Malaga. Front desk staff is very pleasant and helpful, special mention to Alexandria and Noelia!! Room size is ok, cleanliness ok. Just a short note; that in room 303, there was an occasional smell of sewer that we notice. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay at Sercotel Tribuna Malaga and would come back again!

Minuscule two-star room, excellent location

I was unfortunate to arrive less than a minute after a couple of Swiss retirees who were checked in to the room the hotel had assigned to me! Room 411 would have been a nice top floor room with a street view and balcony… But at 11 am, the only other room they had available was 104, a small interior room, more the size of a large closet, really, and while clean and tidy, it was a cramped and sad affair. The receptionist just overwrote my room card and 411 became 104. In her defense, she was friendly and did give me the alternative to wait until 2 pm to get a better room. I could also have changed rooms the next day, but it felt like too much of a hassle. Room 104 was barely up to two-star standards. It came with a comfortable queen bed (pillows were really thin, though), a chair and a clothes rack. No closet, no safe, no water bottle, no desk. There was a minibar, though, and wifi was easy to use, fast and free. A socket was provided by the bed. The small window gave out to an interior shaft of the building. The curtain kept the room dark at night. (Street-facing rooms have a closet and a safe.) The bathroom was okay and there was enough space for all my toiletries, but the shower cubicle fit for an anorexic, for anyone else it was extremely cramped. Water pressure in the handheld shower was okay. As is customary for Sercotel hotels, shampoo, soap and body lotion all came in wall-mounted containers, which is a way of saving money, of course, but a lot less hygienic than individual use minibottles. Breakfast was served on weekdays from 7:30 to 10:30 and on weekends from 8 to 11 at the cost of 11,90 EUR in the breakfast room on the ground floor. I did not try it. The location of the hotel is excellent. The airport train is 800 metres away. Plaza Constitución, the heart of the old city, is just 400 metres away. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a small shop for snacks and water on the next block. I paid 100 € / night for my closet-size ”room”, without breakfast, and needless to say, it was definitely not worth it. The hotel has a three-star rating, which might seem fit for the better rooms, but for the small ones, it is too much. Would I stay another time? Perhaps, if I could secure a better room and if the price was significantly lower.
