The best time to get wed in Cyprus is in the seasons of spring and autumn when the weather is still sunny and warm, with plenty of daylight to capture great photographs to keep your memories alive. The weather during the winter still tends to be pleasant but can get a bit cooler, whereas the summer months can get incredibly hot indeed.
There is a minimum residency requirement of three working days in Cyprus and if you are having a hotel ceremony, you must be a resident at that particular hotel for this period. If your ceremony is taking place in any other place apart from a hotel, you can choose which hotel you stay in from a list of resorts specified in your wedding package. The majority of hotel ceremonies require you to pay a ceremony fee which is payable locally and is usually necessary for you to be able to hold the reception at the hotel.
The months of July and August can be very busy, so it’s important to book as early as you can to get your requested date and avoid disappointment – this also includes booking your reception venue as well. Town hall weddings tend to take place in the mornings however, hotel weddings will normally take place in the afternoon.
