What’s the weather like in the Algarve in February?

Sitting in the south of Portugal close to North Africa, the Algarve has mild weather in winter. You'll get pleasant temperatures if you're going in February, while the amount of rain is reducing after the wettest month of the year. You'll have a decent amount of sun and warm weather, as the Algarve is one of Europe’s sunniest destinations. You'll be sheltered from Atlantic winds by mountains that lie to the north, while you'll be warmest and driest in the east.

The Algarve’s capital, Faro, has an average high of 16ºC in February. Things can get quite chilly in the evenings, which cool to 8ºC, so you should bring some warmer clothes with you.
