Perfect location to explore the city, very comfortable, extremely helpful staff. A beautiful historical hotel in the center of San Francisco. The pool is a great place to start and end the day. I would recommend this hotel to everyone visiting San Francisco.

Centrally located hotel handy for Union Square

Good comfortable hotel with nice rooms and a lovely pool to relax. TV had rather poor reception and although the hotel is centrally located you have to be careful not to walk the “wrong way” out of the hotel as there is a dodgy area fairly close to the hotel. Go right out of the hotel towards Union Square and you’ll be fine though.

This hotel is just a couple of blocks away from Powell station, which means you can travel quickly and cheaply from the Airport to near enough the hotel. Staff very pleasant and quick to check you in. Hotel is a little bit dated, but to be honest was very clean and added to the quirkiest feel to it. Bed lovely and large, had to have a good couple of rolls over to hug my hubby. Towels and amenities well stocked. Did not have time to use the pool, due to only having 3 days in San Francisco. Cable car ride to Fishermans Wharf again only a couple of blocks away. Would I stay here again? Most definitely!
