The Grand Canyon is around 4.5 hours drive, by car, from Las Vegas. We would recommend taking an organised tour/excursion. These tours can last between 3 hours and 8 hours depending on the type of tour. Tours by helicopter tend to be shorter and will take you direct to the Grand Canyon. Other tours combine a flight to Grand Canyon airport and then a coach journey to the canyon. These types of tours usually include photo stops along the route.
