Convention & few days rest

Jun 2022 | travel0014

Great hotel, very spacious rooms (at least for the casitas rooms), both the room and common spaces were very clean. Be aware that your room might be a long walk from the lobby. However, Disney’s buses have multiple stops around the property so you do not necessarily have to go to the lobby very often. If you are there for a convention, it could be beneficial asking for a room closer to the convention center or to book a tower room. The main pool gets very busy, but they is at least one secondary pool in the casitas sector, which is a better choice if you are not travelling with children. In terms of restaurants, be aware that the offer for a late snack is limited. The cafeteria-style restaurant is overpriced, while the restaurant in the middle of the little lake is fairly priced and the food is excellent.

I have visited Orlando most years since 1995 and stayed in lots os accomodations but never on Disney property. I have been to most of the hotels for a drink or a meal so know what they are like. Coronado Springs was perfect for us, Mother, Daughter and 5 month old grandson. We didn't mind that it wasn't Disneyfied and there were a lot of business people around as it is a convention centre. Check in was swift and we had booked a standard room but were upgraded to a preferred room in Casitas 1. This was perfect for us, just a short walk from the tower, groundfloor, quite near bus stop 2 and a quiet pool. The room had everything we needed, plenty of drawer space, hanging space lots of cupboards and the beds were quite high so the suitcases stored underneath. We had a pack and play for the baby and the room was ample big enough to accomodate his pushchair too. We probably spent more time around the hotel than some people, we used all the restaurants, bars and pools (the Dig pool is very popular with children and very busy ). The resort mugs were worth every penny and we had refils every day of coffee or soda. We ate in full meals at the Three Bridges and Rix Bar and had carry out from both We also had snacks and breakfast from El Mercardo. Food was great. We also ate and had cocktails in the Dahlia lounge on the 15th floor of the Tower, the terrace is a fabulous spot to view the Epcot fireworks. The buses ran regularly to all the parks and Disney Springs and were rarely full. The only downside to this holiday were the swarms of cheerleaders with their parents and coaches , They were at the hotel for our first 4 days and took over the pools and resturants. Unfortuantely this is how it is in most of the hotels around Disney at th All in all we had a most enjoyable time at this hotel and can't wait to return.

This review is for the lovely and wonderful Majesty, who kept our daughters extra happy at the main pool. Majesty engaged the kids with fun activities and games, my girls couldn't get enough of. Her warm and fun attitude was amazing and she made our girl's day extra special. We still talk about her and remember her. Majesty - thank you!!!
