Frequently Asked Questions

Should I buy my Disney theme park tickets when I book my holiday? It’s best to book your theme park tickets in advance of travelling to get the most out of your Disney experience. Once those tickets are booked you can start planning your itinerary using the various planning tools available to ensure that you don’t miss a thing.

How much will I save by buying my tickets in advance? The total cost of the pre-purchased Ultimate Disney Ticket works out from £16 per day, whereas the equivalent ticket with all the benefits and added extras of the Ultimate ticket on the gate could cost well over £100 per day.

Do I get paper tickets? At the time of booking, you’ll receive a reference number that’ll enable you to access your Disney account where your ticket details are registered. When you check-in to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you’ll be given a MagicBand which you’ll then sync with your My Disney Experience app and it will transfer all your FastPass+, dining and holiday choices straight to your wristband. If you book a separate Disney event ticket, then Disney will issue a hard copy ticket.

Should I link my tickets to my Disney account and what are the benefits?Linking a ticket to your Disney account allows you to access your tickets through your MagicBand, which is one less thing to remember when you leave for the airport. Plus once your tickets are saved to your Disney account, you can start making FastPass+ selections in advance for all the different attractions and entertainment. The great thing is, if you lose your MagicBand whilst you’re away but it’s linked to your Disney account, you can request a replacement MagicBand (a small charge may apply) and access your tickets through the new MagicBand with no problems.

How do I get into the parks with my MagicBand? At the entrance to each park all adults (10 years and older) are required to have their fingers scanned before entry, even if you have a MagicBand. This ensures that you’re the only person using your MagicBand on holiday. The first time you enter a Disney park, a machine at the turnstiles will scan your finger and match this to your MagicBand, then everytime you go through a turnstile on your holiday the scan will match to the first one, which allows you to move freely from park to park. Should the biometric scan fail, you need to show some form of photo ID before being allowed in.
